The disclosed technology includes a system comprising a tire-mounted inertial measurement unit (IMU). The IMU can be configured to measure linear acceleration data and angular velocity data associated with a tire, and the system can be configured to determine various indicators of tire health based on the linear acceleration data and angular velocity data. The system can be configured to determine a distance between the IMU and an outer rolling surface of the tire. The system can be configured to monitor changes in this distance over time, which can be indicative of tread wear over time. Accordingly, the system can be configured to monitor change in the tread depth over time such that the system is configured to monitor tread depth of the tire.

A plan through a space having a near field and a far field is determined. Using a sensor device, measurements of the far field are obtained and stored in an electronic memory. A processor uses the measurements to determine the viability of each far field plan among a plurality of candidate far field plans. The processor also determines a flexibility score for each of the candidate far field plans and selects a composite plan comprising the viable far field plan having a highest flexibility score among the viable candidate far field plans.

Method and apparatus for two-stage planning

A movable data center is disclosed that comprises a movable enclosure having partitions that define a closed-loop air flow path. A plurality of fans and a plurality of data processing modules are disposed in the air flow path. A pipe network is disposed within the enclosure that includes a chilled water supply pipe that receives chilled water from a source of chilled water. A water return pipe is provided that circulates water back to the source of chilled water. A plurality of heat exchange modules is installed in the enclosure in the air flow path. The heat exchange modules receive the chilled water from the chilled water supply pipe. Each of the heat exchange modules has a water circulation tube that connects the chilled water supply pipe to the return water pipe.

A method and apparatus for providing appropriate output signals to output devices in a teleconference setting is disclosed. Input signals are obtained from input devices, and descriptive information describing the teleconference is received from several sensors. On a substantially continuous basis, using the descriptive information, a desirability is computed for each of several possible output configurations, each output configuration specifying a routing of output signals to output devices. The most desirable output configuration is then selected, and output signals are provided to output devices as specified by the selected output configuration.
