Embodiments of a work vehicle magnetorheological fluid (MRF) joystick system includes a joystick device having a base housing, a joystick movably mounted to the base housing, and a joystick position sensor monitoring movement of the joystick relative to the base housing. An MRF joystick resistance mechanism is controllable to vary a joystick stiffness resisting movement of the joystick relative to the base housing in at least one degree of freedom. A controller architecture is coupled to the joystick position sensor and to the MRF joystick resistance mechanism. The controller architecture is configured to: (i) command the MRF joystick resistance mechanism to increase the joystick stiffness when the joystick is moved into a first predetermined detent position to generate a first MRF detent; and (ii) selectively activate a first detent-triggered function of the work vehicle based, at least in part, on joystick movement relative to the first MRF detent.

The cutting tooth comprises a first portion defining a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The first portion is configured to be received in the receiving portion for rotation with the disk. A second portion defines a chip removal path and a cutting edge adjacent the chip removal path. A first retaining device is configured to couple to the disk to secure the first protrusion in the receiving portion. A second retaining device is configured to couple to the disk to secure the second protrusion in the receiving portion.

A forestry machine configured to cut timber, where the forestry machine comprises a felling head including a support frame having an accumulation pocket, an accumulating arm, and a harvest arm. The forestry machine further comprises a stator having coils thereon adapted to produce a time varying stator magnetic field, a rotor having at least either a set of slots or a set of permanent magnets mounted thereon facing the stator and adapted to produce a radially directed flux or an axially directed flux. The rotor is rotatably coupled to the stator in axial alignment therewith by the time varying stator magnetic field. The rotor comprises a saw blade.

An example work machine including a first vehicle component movable relative to a second vehicle component; and a processor to: cause the first vehicle component to move toward a commanded position; predict a first position of the first vehicle component of the work machine using first processes; determine a second position of the first vehicle component using second processes; and in response to a difference between the first position and the second position, to cause the first vehicle component to move further toward the commanded position to correct for the difference.

The electrical processing circuit determines a tree count associated with the saw head, dependent upon the output signal from the audio sensor.

A fluid system comprises a static LS valve, a dynamic LS valve, a priority valve biased to preferentially supply pressurized fluid to both the static LS valve and the dynamic LS valve, and a signal-mimicking device fluidly coupled to a static LS port of the static LS valve, a dynamic LS port of the dynamic LS valve, and a dynamic LS pilot port of the priority valve for mimicking a static LS signal from the static LS port of the static LS valve into a dynamic LS signal from the dynamic LS port of the dynamic LS valve to produce a combined LS signal communicated to the dynamic LS pilot port of the priority valve. Such a fluid system may be applied to a steering system. An associated method is disclosed.
