A computer that includes a processor and a memory, the memory including instructions executable by the processor to generate first traffic scenarios including one or more objects based on initial object locations and initial object trajectories of the one or more objects, wherein the first traffic scenarios are generated with a three-dimensional simulation engine. Probabilities of impact can be determined between the one or more objects included in the first traffic scenarios; selecting a subset of the first traffic scenarios that include the probabilities of impact greater than a user-selected threshold. Second traffic scenarios can be generated based on perturbing the selected subset of the first traffic scenarios wherein the second traffic scenarios are generated with the three-dimensional simulation engine. A machine learning system can be trained based on the first and the second traffic scenarios.

Simulating traffic scenarios

A computer includes a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to receive a request to activate a vehicle, receive diagnostic data for one or more vehicle components from an activation component, arbitrate the request and the diagnostic data to identify an activation mode of the vehicle that is one of an unpowered mode, a power-up mode, or a fully-started mode, and instruct the activation component to activate one or more vehicle components associated with the identified activation mode.

Enhanced vehicle activation

An apparatus includes a robot body, at least one sensor coupled to the robot body and positioned to receive stimuli from a passenger cabin of a vehicle, an actuatable component coupled to the robot body, and a computer coupled to the robot body and communicatively coupled to the sensor and the actuatable component. The computer is programmed to predict an imminent anomalous event in the vehicle based on data from the at least one sensor, and in response to the determination, actuate the actuatable component to remediate the anomalous event.

A method of operating a vehicular system includes charging, by a controller and via an electric vehicle charge station, a low-voltage battery when a module powered by the low-voltage battery is awake and an SOC of the low-voltage battery is less than a threshold; and in response to the SOC exceeding the threshold, commanding by the controller the module to enter a sleep mode for a sleep duration defined by a power usage of the module such that as the power usage changes, the sleep duration changes.

A vehicle includes an engine and a controller configured to autostop and autostart the engine. Engine autostops are conditioned on a vehicle speed condition. In addition, engine autostops are conditioned on a battery current threshold that changes as the speed of the vehicle changes.

System and method to control battery current during rolling stop-start events

A vehicle includes an engine and a vehicle park mechanism. The vehicle further includes a controller configured initiate an auto-stop of the engine in response to an auto-stop condition. The controller is further configured to actuate the vehicle park mechanism in response to a driver exit condition and the engine being auto-stopped.

An engine control system for a vehicle includes a controller that initiates a start of the engine in response to a state of charge (SOC) of a battery falling below an engine start threshold, initiates a stop of the engine in response to the SOC exceeding an engine stop threshold, and adjusts a value of the engine start threshold based on whether a load remote from the vehicle is drawing power from the battery.

Vehicle charging system

A vehicle starter assembly includes a switching circuit configured to operate in a charging state and a discharging state, and a first energy storage device and a second energy storage device electrically connected to the switching circuit. The first energy storage device and the second energy storage device are connected in parallel to one another in the charging state and in series with one another in the discharging state. The processor is programmed to detect an engine start request and output a switch control signal that toggles the switching circuit between the charging state and the discharging state to start an internal combustion engine of a host vehicle.

An exemplary vehicle may include at least one lighting device configured to provide a signal during a normal state of a vehicle, and a processor configured to detect an alarm state of the vehicle and initiate a visible nuisance via the at least one visible signal in response to at least the detected alarm state.

Data is collected from vehicle sensors to generate a virtual map of objects proximate to the vehicle. Based on the virtual map, an in-vehicle computer determines a traffic condition in front of and behind a host vehicle. The in-vehicle computer determines collision avoidance maneuvers. The computer instructs vehicle control units to implement the collision avoidance maneuvers. The computer may additionally or alternatively communicate the collision avoidance maneuvers to a driver via an interface. In the case of unavoidable collisions, the computer determines and initiates damage mitigation actions.
