The disclosed embodiments include shiftable covers, completion systems, and methods to shift a downhole cover in two directions. A shiftable cover includes a hollow interior configured to receive a diverter flowing in a first direction. The shiftable cover also includes a diverter seat disposed in the hollow interior and configured to retain the diverter. The shiftable cover also includes a plurality of segments configured to collapse in response to shifting of the shiftable cover from a first position to a second position to retain the diverter, and un-collapse in response to shifting of the shiftable cover from the second position towards the first position.

The disclosed embodiments include pressure-activated firing heads, perforating gun assemblies, and methods to set off a downhole explosion. A pressure-activated firing head includes a first chamber and a second chamber having an energy storage element disposed within the second chamber. The pressure-activated firing head also includes a port fluidly connecting the first chamber and the second chamber. The pressure-activated firing head further includes a flow restrictor that restricts fluid flow from the second chamber to the first chamber. The pressure-activated firing head further includes a firing pin shiftable from a first position to a second position to strike an initiator. The pressure-activated firing head further includes a shear pin that holds the firing pin in the first position and configured to shear in response to a threshold pressure applied to the shear pin to release the firing pin from the first position.

Completion Systems and Methods to Perform Completion Operations are disclosed. A completion system includes a tubular having a wall that defines a flowbore within the tubular and extending into a zone of an annular region external to the tubular. The completion system also includes a first port disposed in the wall and configured to provide fluid communication between the flowbore and the annular region, and a communication path disposed at least partially within the wall and configured to provide fluid communication with an annulus of a well outside of the zone. The completion system further includes a second port disposed in the wall and configured to provide fluid communication between the flowbore and the communication path, a cover disposed over the second port and configured to prevent fluid communication during a fracturing operation, and a diverter seat disposed in the flowbore of the tubular uphole of the second port.

Completion systems and methods to perform completion operations include a completion system that includes a tubular having a wall that defines a flowbore. The completion system also includes a first port disposed in the wall and configured to provide fluid communication between the flowbore and the annular region, and a communication path disposed at least partially within the wall and configured to provide fluid communication with an annulus of a well outside of the zone. The completion system further includes a second port disposed in the wall and configured to provide fluid communication between the flowbore and the communication path, a first diverter seat disposed in the flowbore uphole of the second port and configured to receive a diverter flowing through the flowbore; and a second diverter seat disposed in the flowbore uphole of the diverter seat and configurable to receive a second diverter flowing through the flowbore.

This disclosure provides an expansion joint apparatus that has a releasable coupler that holds the tool in a locked position for run-in purposes. Once in position, the releasable coupler can be activated to release a tubular housing from an outer mandrel located within the tubular housing to allow for independent movement between the tubular members comprising the expansion joint apparatus.

Provided is a multi-functional well completion apparatus and method of operation thereof that offers the ability, in a single trip and with limited running tool manipulation, to perform a sand control frac or other fluid stimulation operation and reverse out operations that has improved reverse out flow rates. Furthermore, a combination of dropped balls and hydraulic pressure open one or more sleeves for selective access to a plurality of isolated zones. Additionally, a combination of concentric pipe and internal flow paths creates a reverse flow path. This reverse flow path provides a live annulus during treating, the ability to take returns, and the ability to reverse excess proppant from the wellbore.

A method for activating a shifting tool comprises introducing a shifting tool in a desired wellbore zone where it is exposed to a pre-determined hydrostatic pressure. The shifting tool comprises at least one key that is configured to be expanded and released from a retracted position when the shifting tool is subjected to the pre-determined hydrostatic pressure.
