Devices, systems, and methods for thermal management provide conditioned air from an inlet of an electronics cabinet to a rear-mounted interface device using an enclosure mounted in the electronics cabinet. The enclosure is laterally expandable in order to make installation easier and to enable installation of the enclosure between electronics cabinets of several mounting widths. The enclosure is installed to an internal surface of the mounting rails of the electronics cabinet so that the interface devices are mounted directly to the mounting rails, so the enclosure does not support the mass of the interface devices.

Devices, systems, and methods for thermal management of rack-mounted computing infrastructure devices

Embodiments of the present invention relate to network cabinets and components thereof. In an embodiment, the present invention is a system that includes a network appliance, and a network cabinet having a bottom portion, a center portion providing a plurality of rack unit spaces, a top portion, and a network appliance mounting kit positioned in the top portion. The network appliance mounting kit includes a mounting feature for attaching the network appliance to the network cabinet such that the network appliance does not interfere with any one of the plurality of rack unit spaces.

Electronics cabinet

A data center physical infrastructure management system has a cabinet having rack spaces and a sensor. A data communication system transmits signals to a management database. Personal or automated intervention is determined algorithmically by a data processor. A human interface for the data center management system is provided. Removable electronic assets contained in the rack spaces each have an identifier tag. An identifier tag reader is installed on the cabinet body. A door sensor provides a signal responsive to whether a cabinet door is closed, open, locked, or unlocked. Also, a secure contact arrangement has a base terminal formed of electrically conductive material, and first and second electrically conductive elements. A resilient non-conductive element is interposed between the first and second electrically conductive elements, and a compression element compresses the resilient non-conductive element to cause the first and second electrically conductive elements to communicate with one another.

Physical infrastructure management system having an integrated cabinet

A frame for a cabinet is provided. The frame includes a side-to-side beam, a front-to-back beam connected to the side-to-side beam, and a vertical post connected to the side-to-side beam. The front-to-back beam is inset relative to the vertical post to form a cable-routing area along a side of the frame.

Server cabinet

A fiber tray for managing and organizing fiber distribution is disclosed. The fiber tray includes a housing and a drawer received in the housing. The housing is secured to an equipment rack. The housing includes inner sides with a glide mechanism extending the length of each inner side. The glide mechanism includes a first end and a second end. The glide mechanism also includes at least one curved path located at one of the first end and the second end. The drawer includes a bottom, a first side, a second side, a front and a back. The first and second sides of the drawer have a pin. The pins extending from the sides of the drawer slide within the glide mechanism to enable the drawer to be retracted, extended or removed from the housing.

Fiber tray

A patch panel includes a frame, a faceplate mountable to the frame, and at least one modular jack mountable into a rear side of the faceplate. The frame has a top flange, a bottom flange, and a plurality of faceplate opening, and the faceplate is mountable within the top flange and the bottom flange, and has a plurality of mounting openings. Each mounting opening has at least one modular jack retention latch protruding within the mounting opening.

High density patch panel

A cover plate for an angled patch panel is described. The angled patch panel has a frame which has mounting members on opposite longitudinal ends of the frame, where the mounting members are for mounting the angled patch panel to a plurality of locations on a network rack. The frame has a longitudinal profile at least a portion of which is angled with respect to a line extending between the longitudinal ends of the frame to define an area bounded by the longitudinal profile and the line extending between the longitudinal ends of the frame. The cover plate for the angled patch panel includes a plate having a shape substantially the same as this area. Further, the cover plate includes a plurality of plate mounting members to mount the plate at the plurality of locations on the network rack.

A building automation system is provided in which a controller is connected to remote modules through a zone enclosure using RS-485 cables. Branches of modules extending from the zone enclosure are connected together by removable jumpers at the zone enclosure. Sets of branches of modules using different protocols are isolated from each other. Shorts in the RS-485 cables can be determined by disconnecting and reconnecting the branches from the network. The zone enclosure has a patch panel that contains modular RS-485 connectors. An RS-485 cable from the controller and pulled through the building along with other data cables is connected to the RS-485 connectors at the back of the patch panel. The modules are connected to the RS-485 connectors at the front of the patch panel through RS-485 cables.

Building automation system

The present invention is directed to a faceplate having a backing plate and a stainless steel cover plate. The backing plate includes at least one opening to receive a module and at least one pocket. The pocket includes a mounting snap. The cover plate includes at least one opening to receive the module and at least one pocket opening. The pocket opening includes a tab that extends from the cover plate. When faceplate is assembled, the mounting snap engages the tab to secure the cover plate to the backing plate.

A pivoting strain relief bar assembly that is comprised of a patch panel rotatably coupled to a strain relief bar, where the patch panel and strain relief bar are also coupled to a conventional rack capable of supporting telecommunications or other electronic equipment. Cables that are to be terminated to the patch panel are secured to and supported by the strain relief bar. The strain relief bar is capable of locking in a substantially horizontal position and thus remains fixed while supporting a large number of network cables. The strain relief bar can also be unlocked and rotated, allowing a technician to access the patch panel without having to unnecessarily disconnect cables.
