Embodiments relate to generating database sequences in a replicated database environment. An aspect includes providing a group of nodes each hosting an instance of a replicated database, with one node in the group elected as a master node responsible for generating and distributing values for auto-generated values in a column or row of the replicated database. Another aspect includes dividing, by the master node, a sequence space of possible auto-generated values for the column or row into sub-ranges and assigning a sub-range to a particular node in the group of nodes. Another aspect includes distributing, by the master node, values of the assigned sub-range to a particular node of the group of nodes.

Generating database sequences in a replicated database environment

In a method for analyzing a data set, one or more processors identifying a data set that includes sequences of data points, identifying a sequence of data points in the identified data set, identifying a window of sequences of data points in the identified data set, wherein the window of sequences of data points is defined based on information including one or more of: a defined number of sequences of data points before and after the identified sequence of data points and a defined reference to a feature of the identified data set, retrieving a set of inflection points in the identified data set that are within the identified window of sequences of data points, and determining: a maximum value, a minimum value, or both a maximum and minimum value, based on the retrieved inflection points that are within the identified window of sequences of data points.

Analyzing a data set utilizing inflection points

Data integrity is maintained during failed communications between a member node of a primary cluster and a backup cluster by assigning an assisting member node to run an assisting process that transmits data entered into the member node to the backup cluster. In this way, a replicated database is maintained during a partial communication failure between the primary cluster and the backup cluster.
