A system used to control the orientation of a vehicle's suspension. The system includes a control system receiving input data from a plurality of sensors concerning the relative motion, speed, and orientation of the vehicle. The control system is configured to process the input data and actively control the orientation of the suspension system by selecting a suitable driver speed and tilt angle according to external conditions.

The game controller including at least one control such as a joystick which includes at least two modes of operation. The game controller includes an invert switch which enables a player to switch between the different modes of operation. In one embodiment, the game controller includes a control which has a normal mode and an invert mode. The normal mode enables a player to move the joystick up or forward to correspondingly move up on the game display or move the joystick down or backward to correspondingly move on the game display. Conversely, the invert mode enables a player to move the joystick up or forward to correspondingly move down on the display and also move the joystick down or backward to move up on the display. The game controller enables the player to switch between the different modes of operation on the game controller itself instead of through the video game system or software for the game.

A power enhancement control system for operation with at least one power enhancement device installed in a vehicle comprises a user interface having a display screen operable to display data and a plurality of buttons operable to receive user input, and a control unit coupled to the user interface and in data communication with the at least one power enhancement device. The control unit is operable to set at least one select one of the at least one power enhancement device to a discrete power level setting in response to at least in part to user input and input from a sensor measuring a vehicle operating condition parameter.

An illuminator for a hand-held gaming or other electronic device is provided. The illuminator includes at least one light source contained within an enclosure that is rotatably mounted to a bracket. The bracket is rotatably mounted to a member secured to the gaming/electronic device. The bracket and light source enclosure can be rotated into multiple positions during use. During non-use, the bracket and light source enclosure can be rotated into a compact area for ease of transport. In some embodiments, each character within a group has a different combination of attributes, which may include strength, magic and technology. A system is disclosed which enables measurement of the elapse of a predetermined time period in a computer system by determining the speed of instruction cycle execution according to the number of instruction cycles occurring relative to system clock transitions. The result is a timing reference tailored for a specific function which is not intrusive of the system clock in the computer system, and is determined independently of the particular timing characteristics of the system. The elapsed time value corresponds to a function such as the time period for processing a data transfer command received by a CD-ROM drive. The system clock of the computer is used as a known timing reference and a software counter is incremented upon a transition in the system clock until the next transition in the system clock.

A method and apparatus are provided for displaying graphical information concurrent with associated audio information within a multimedia computer system. The graphical information (CD+G) and the audio information, is read from a compact disk by a compact disk reader, and decoded by a digital signal processor. The graphical information is stored temporarily in a cache buffer within the compact disk reader and then transferred from the cache buffer to a host computer for display. While the compact disk reader plays the audio, the graphical information is transferred to the host computer for display within the multimedia system.

Method and apparatus for continuously reading data from a compact disk drive to a host computer is disclosed in which the data is transferred to the computer's cache memory so that it is available to the computer's central processor for processing without interruption. A communication link is established between a processor in the disk drive and a direct memory access (DMA) controller in the host computer. With this link established, the DMA controller directs the transfer of the incoming data stream from the drive to the cache memory of the host computer. Once the data is in the cache memory, it is moved to the application workspace of the computer's system random access memory (RAM) for processing by the central processor. The transfer of data by the DMA controller, and the temporary storage of the transferred data in the cache memory, allows for continuous transfer of data from the compact disk drive, without interruption, and without the need for reseeks of the data. The invention is implemented in software by executing a software call from a supervisory program operating in the host computer.
