A system-in-a-package including a printed circuit board, a receiver, a processor, a baseband module, an image module and a transmitter. The printed circuit board is configured to be mounted within a printer. The receiver (i) receives a first radio frequency signal wirelessly transmitted to the printer from a network device, and (ii) generates a first baseband signal based on the first radio frequency signal. The processor generates a second baseband signal based on the first baseband signal. The baseband module generates a data signal based on the first baseband signal. The image module processes the data signal to implement physical printing via a print mechanism. The transmitter (i) generates a second radio frequency signal based on the second baseband signal, and (ii) transmits the second radio frequency signal from the system-in-a-package to the network device.

Printer, a system-in-package and method for wirelessly initiating printing at the printer

A method and system for printing comprises executing a formatter program on a removable Personal Computer (PC) card that controls printer controller functions of a printer. Printer formatter ready data is received from a host machine at a first interface of the removable PC card and print engine ready data is sent to the printer from a second interface of the removable PC card. A version of the formatter program is compared to a version of an updated formatter program. The updated formatter program is requested if the version of the formatter program is different than the version of the updated formatter program. The updated formatter program is downloaded from the host machine using the first interface when the second interface is coupled to the printer.

A method for operating a circuit board, where: the circuit board is mounted within a printer; a first system on a first chip and a second system on a second chip are mounted on the circuit board; the first system on the first chip comprises a receiver and a transmitter; and the second system on the second chip comprises a first processing module and a second processing module. The method includes wirelessly receiving a first radio frequency signal at the receiver. A second radio frequency signal is generated based on the first radio frequency signal. The second radio frequency signal is wirelessly transmitted from the transmitter. The transmitter is implemented in the first system on the first chip. A data signal is generated based on the first radio frequency signal via the first processing module. A printing process is implemented based on the data signal via the second processing module.

Imaging devices incorporating memory are described herein. According to various embodiments, device driver information may be stored in the memory. Subsequent to the device driver being uploaded to a host device and the host device installing the device driver, the device driver information is deleted from the memory of the imaging device.

A system including a communication interface, a memory, and a processor. The communication interface is configured to receive data. The memory is divided into a first retention region and a second retention region, wherein the first retention region is configured to store data for a first predetermined period of time, and the second retention region is configured to store data for a second predetermined period of time. Multi-function device architecture

A test method for an ASIC uses an embedded processor in the ASIC to execute test routines from an embedded memory or an external memory. During ASIC production, the test routines can comprehensively test of the blocks of the ASIC without a complicated test pattern from test equipment. The test routines can also perform power-up tests in systems or end products containing the ASIC. Test selection, activation, and result output can be implemented using a few terminals of the ASIC.

A system includes a circuit board mounted within a printer. A first chip is mounted on the circuit board. A transceiver includes a receiver that: is implemented in the first chip; wirelessly receives a radio frequency signal; and generates a first baseband signal based on the radio frequency signal. A transmitter of the transceiver is implemented in the first chip and wirelessly transmits, based on a second baseband signal, a second radio frequency signal. A second chip is separate from the first chip and is mounted on the circuit board. The second chip includes first and second processing modules and a processor. The first processing module processed the first and second baseband signals and generates a data signal based on the first baseband signal. The processor generates the second baseband signal based on the first baseband signal. The second processing module implements a printing process based the data signal.

Embodiments of the present invention provide an integrated circuit having analog front end (AFE) circuitry to convert an analog signal to a digital signal, the analog signal being associated with an image captured by a sensor of an imaging device, illumination drive circuitry to drive an illumination source of the imaging device, and one or more transformation elements to operate on the digital signal to provide image correction of the captured image, wherein the AFE circuitry, the illumination drive circuitry, and the one or more transformation elements are integrated on a single chip.
