Method, systems, and apparatuses are described that transmit and/or receive video content. A request associated with an output device may be received. Based on the request and a mode of operation of the output device, a first data stream of a plurality of data streams is determined. Each of the plurality of data streams may be associated with a different adjusted version of video content that may be multidimensional and/or multi-perspective video content. Based on the first data stream, a first adjusted version of the video content may be determined. The output device may output the first adjusted version.

Streaming and rendering of multidimensional video using a plurality of data streams

A stereoscopic production solution, e.g., for live events, that provides 3D video asset distribution to multiple devices and networks is described. In some embodiments, live or recorded 3D video content may be accessible by different service providers with different subscribers/users and protocols across a network of the content provider. A first video signal corresponding to a first video feed for one eye of a viewer may be received and a second video signal corresponding to a second video feed for the second eye of the viewer may be received. The first video signal and the second video signal may be encoded. The encoded first video signal and the encoded second video signal may be transmitted independently over a network. The two video signals may be received and frame synced at an off-site location for eventual rendering to a display device.

Systems and methods that may facilitate synchronizing the presentation of a program on multiple devices are disclosed. Amounts by which each device may delay its presentation of a program may be determined and/or sent to the devices.

Methods and systems for providing data are disclosed. An optimal set of subcarriers can be determined for a data transmission when a plurality of devices have requested the data transmission. The optimal set of subcarriers can be determined based on similarities or differences between parameters assigned to subcarriers in capability profiles. Capacity loss and other information can be determined based on the similarities or the differences among corresponding parameters of the capability profiles. The data transmission can be transmitted to the plurality of devices via the optimal set of subcarriers.

Optimizing resources in data transmission

Transmitting and receiving 3D video content via an Internet protocol (IP) stream are described. 3D video content may be transmitted in a single IP stream and adjusted by a device associated with a display for rendering the 3D video content in a desired manner. 3D content also may be transmitted in a plurality of IP streams and a device associated with a display for rendering the 3D content may determine which of the plurality of IP streams to decode based upon a mode of operation of the device. A device receiving 3D video content may be configured to adjust the appearance of the content displayed on a display associated with the device. Such adjusting of the appearance may include moving the position of the rendered 3D video content within the display, positioning in band and/or out of band content in front of, behind, or within the rendered 3D video content.

The method may also comprise detecting a second device, automatically recognizing a supported second format of the detected second device, converting the data to the second format, and transmitting the converted data to the second device via wireless communication.

Systems and methods are described to enable the creation and use of one or more interest meshes that may comprise interest values associated with points of interest in a virtual environment. A mesh may adapt to different environments and may be automatically created based on predefined criteria used to assign interest values to digital assets or points (e.g., coordinates) in the virtual environment. The virtual environment may use a mesh to guide a user toward points of interest by determining desired positions and viewpoint orientations for the user and guiding the user from point to point. Further, events may be triggered in the virtual environment that may change one or more meshes and/or create a new point of interest for a user. The user may then be guided using the changed mesh(es) to points of interest, including new points of interest.

Methods and systems for providing user defined content transmissions are disclosed. An example method can comprise receiving a request for first content and receiving a first preference. First content can be retrieved from a first source based on the request for first content. Second content can be retrieved from a second source based on the first preference. The first content and second content can be packaged for transmission in response to receiving the request and the first preference.

User-defined content streaming

An interactive user interface, such as a remote terminal user interface, is compressed prior to transmission to a video client. The compression may be performed independently of any other video that may be simultaneously transmitted to the video client. At the client side, two compressed video streams (remote user interface and video content) may be decompressed independently of each other. In some cases, technology already existing in some client devices, such as picture-in-picture (PiP) capability, may be leveraged to decompress the received compressed remote user interface without needing to modify the hardware of those client devices.

Systems and methods are described for recognizing and responding to commands in a virtual or physical environment. A system may receive voice data and determine an intended command. The system may then determine a position and viewpoint orientation of the user to be able to determine one or more digital assets associated with the user. The system may then determine a current state associated with each digital asset of the one or more digital assets to be able to determine at least one digital asset that is configured to process the command. The system can then apply the command to at least a first digital asset of the at least one digital asset that is configured to process the command.
