An articulating frame of an adjustable bedframe is restricted by a safety latch mechanism from pivoting beyond a limited range of motion from its undeployed position unless an actuator lifting assembly mechanism is driving the articulating frame to pivot. Locking tabs and guides mate with each other to restrain the actuator lifting assembly mechanism from moving beyond a limited range of motion unless the actuator lifting assembly mechanism is driving the articulating frame to pivot.

Safety latch mechanism

A mattress corner retainer bracket having a flex segment pivotally mounted to an adjustable bed frame and having two retention segments spaced apart that are each joined to the flex segment. Each of the three segments extend in different respective planes relative to each other. As a mattress flexes in unison with adjustable movement imparted by the adjustable bed frame, the mattress corners impart a force against the two retention segments, which retain the mattress in its relative position on the adjustable bed frame by preventing the mattress from sliding off. The two retention segments are joined to each other via a joining rod that extends within the flex plane.

A programmable application is accessible on a wireless network and is programmed to provide appropriate settings to attain changes over time of a space within bedding that pertain to at least one of heating the space and realizing a cooling sensation within the space. A wireless receiver is configured to receive commands in a wireless manner that are indicative of the appropriate settings provided by the programmable application to effect changes over time of the space within the bedding attributed to heat transfer with respect to the at least one of heating the space and realizing a cooling sensation within the space. The heat transfer occurs as a result of fluid flow either within a mattress or within space in bedding over the mattress.

Bedding climate control apparatus and method to operate thereof with a programmable application from a wireless network

A method of assembly and a product upon which a person may lie down that includes a mattress cover fitted onto a mattress cover to envelop same. The underside of the mattress cover has a projecting lip that bounds a recessed cavity that accommodates an adjustable mechanism, which is actuated to raise of lower head or foot portions of the mattress. The lip contains filler material such a foam and overlaps sides of the adjustable mechanism to conceal same.

The paddle extends from the riser to terminate at ta free end. The air conduit claim extends outwardly from the riser to terminate at free ends. A bed covering having a plurality of layers between which is an air cavity and having at least one air inlet in fluid communication with the air cavity. The layers have folds and have fasteners. The fasteners may fasten and unfasten and include respective fastener components that self-close when brought together to engage each other and that disengage to separate from each other. The fastener components when fastened to each other close the at least one air inlet and when unfastened from each other open the at least on air inlet. An elastic band is also provided on the periphery to wrap around an air tube when inserted into the at least one air inlet and apply an elastic force under tension to retain the same.

An adjustable power bed layer that has a bed frame that folds from a flattened state to a folded state and from a flattened state to an adjusted state. The bed frame has an inner and outer frame that nest with each other in the flattened state. Head side and foot side actuators drive sliding members back and forth along respective tracks to pivot respective articulating frames between the flattened and adjusted states. The articulating frames are part of one of the inner and outer frames and the tracks are connected to the other of the inner and outer frames. In the folded state, the bed frame is positioned to that one of head side and foot side actuators becomes accessible for maintenance and servicing from above depending upon which way the bed frame is folded about its folding pivot.

Adjustable power bed layer

A bed lift mechanism that has linkages and has an actuator connected structure that is movable from a non-actuated position to two or three actuated positions. One set of linkages lifts the bed frame with the actuator connected structure moved into an associated one of the actuated positions and then push another set of linkages as the actuator connected structure is moved into another of the actuated positions. In the case where there are three actuator positions, further linkages move down a bed frame slotted bracket to initially lift the bed frame and as they reach and end of the slotted bracket as the actuator connected structure is moved to a different actuator position, the one set of linkages pull together to lift the bed frame vertically.
