A system for enhancing communications based on physical trade documents includes a document intake machine comprising a document scanner and a data extractor. The document intake machine receives a physical trade document from an entity. The document scanner may scan the physical trade document to create an electronic file of the physical trade document. The data extractor determines entity identification information from the electronic file and entity performance information from the electronic file. A trade executing machine receives the entity identification information and entity performance information from the document intake machine and assigns an electronic customer number to the electronic file, wherein the electronic customer number is associated with the entity identification information. The trade executing machine may index the electronic file in a memory communicatively coupled to the trade executing machine, wherein the electronic file is indexed according to the electronic customer number and the entity performance information.

Enhancing communications based on physical trade documents

A system for preventing restricted transactions using physical trade documents includes a document intake machine comprising a document scanner and a data extractor. The document intake machine receives a physical trade document associated with a transaction of goods from an entity. The document scanner scans the physical trade document to create an electronic file. The data extractor identifies trade terms from the electronic file. A trade-executing machine receives the trade terms and compares them to a database of restricted trade terms. For each of the trade terms that match a restricted trade term, the trade executing machines identifies a confidence level associated with the trade term indicating a likelihood that the transaction of goods is a restricted transaction. If the confidence level is greater than a predetermined threshold, the trade executing machine flags the transaction of goods as a potential restricted transaction and communicates a notification message to the entity.

Preventing restricted trades using physical documents

A system for executing terms of physical trade documents includes a document intake machine comprising a document scanner and a data extractor. The document intake machine receives a physical trade document from an entity. The document scanner may scan the physical trade document to create an electronic file of the physical trade document. The data extractor may identify trade terms from the electronic file. A trade executing machine receives the trade terms from the document intake machine and compare the trade terms to a trade condition, wherein the trade condition is identified from a document related to the physical trade document. If the trade terms match the trade condition, the trade executing machine may process the physical trade document according to the trade terms and communicate a notification message to the entity indicating that the physical trade document was processed according to the trade terms.

Executing terms of physical trade documents

A system for transforming unstructured documents includes a document intake machine comprising a document scanner. The document intake machine receives a physical trade document from an entity wherein the physical trade document has a format. The document scanner scans the physical trade document to create an electronic file of the physical trade document. A trade-executing machine receives the electronic file and compares the format of the electronic file to a database of known document templates. If the format of the electronic file does not match a known document template, the trade executing machine determines that the electronic file is an unstructured document, identifies a pattern between a field name of the electronic document and data associated with the field name, generates a structured template of the electronic file, by incorporating the identified pattern to transform the unstructured document into a structured document, and updates the database of known document templates with the template of the electronic file.

Transforming unstructured documents

In general terms, embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and apparatuses for providing a service for exceeding account thresholds via a mobile device. For example, in some embodiments, a method is provided that includes: (a) receiving transaction information associated with a transaction, where the transaction involves an account, a transaction machine, and a holder of the account; (b) determining, based at least partially on the transaction information, that the account will incur an excess threshold amount as a result of the transaction; (c) prompting the holder to consent to the excess threshold amount via the mobile device, where the holder is associated with the mobile device; (d) receiving the holder's consent to the excess threshold amount; and (e) authorizing the transaction based at least partially on the receiving the holder's consent.

In general terms, embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and apparatuses for providing a service for exceeding account thresholds via a transaction machine. For example, in some embodiments, a method is provided that includes: (a) receiving transaction information associated with a transaction, where the transaction involves an account, a transaction machine, and a holder of the account; (b) determining, based at least partially on the transaction information, that the account will incur an exceeded threshold as a result of the transaction; (c) prompting, via the transaction machine, the holder to consent to the exceeded threshold; (d) receiving the holder's consent to the exceeded threshold; and (e) authorizing the transaction based at least partially on the receiving the holder's consent.

Service for exceeding account thresholds via transaction machine

In an exemplary embodiment, a system includes a memory operable to store a user account identifier associated with a user account and a mobile device identifier associated with a mobile device. The memory is also operable to store a first user credential and a second user credential, the second user credential, wherein the second user credential comprises user input data captured by a sensor. The system includes a network interface operable to receive a request to authenticate a requesting user. The system also includes a processor operable to determine information included in the request to facilitate authentication of the requesting user and whether the information included in the request matches the information associated with the user account. The processor is further operable to authenticate the requesting user if the request is associated with the user account and information included in the request matches the information associated with the user account.

Multilevel authentication

According to some embodiments, a transaction device for performing a transaction between a customer and a merchant comprises an account selection engine and a communication link. The account selection engine operable to receive information identifying at least one characteristic of a proposed transaction, identify a plurality of accounts associated with the customer, and select a first account from among the plurality of accounts based on the at least one characteristic. The communication link is operable to transmit identification of the first account to a point of sale interface of a transaction device, the point of sale interface operable to transmit a transaction request to a point of sale receiver associated with the merchant, the transaction request comprising an account number associated with the first account.

Transaction device and processing system

According to some embodiments, a transaction processing system for evaluating transactions between a customer and a merchant comprises a transaction tracker, an account selection engine, and a performance module. The transaction tracker is operable to identify a transaction executed by a customer using a transaction device, the transaction device being operable to execute a transaction with a point of sale receiver associated with the merchant by providing an account number for a first account of the plurality of accounts. The account selection engine is operable to receive information identifying at least one characteristic of the transaction and select a recommended account based on the at least one characteristic. Some embodiments of the present invention provide a computer-implemented method including the following steps: receiving an image of at least a portion of a paper check, wherein the portion comprises an indication of an amount of money to be drawn on a financial account, processing the image to determine the amount, identifying the financial account, and recording the amount in connection with the financial account, wherein the recording step occurs prior to receiving any indication that the check has been presented for payment. A system for authorizing a financial transaction includes a processor operable to execute an application on a wireless communications device that is communicatively coupled to a data stripe through a wired connection, receive a request to authorize a financial transaction involving a financial account associated with account data, access authorization criteria for determining whether to authorize the financial transaction, apply the authorization criteria to the financial transaction, generate an authorization code based on the application of the authorization criteria to the financial transaction, and communicate the authorization code.

Authorizing financial transactions

A system for authorizing a financial transaction includes a processor operable to execute an application on a wireless communications device, communicate wirelessly with a data stripe through a security enabled wireless communications protocol, receive a request to authorize a financial transaction involving a financial account associated with account data, access authorization criteria for determining whether to authorize the financial transaction, apply the authorization criteria to the financial transaction, generate an authorization code based on the application of the authorization criteria to the financial transaction, and communicate the authorization code.
