A pallet safety marker apparatus to provide a visual warning of the presence of a pallet. The safety marker apparatus includes a base structured to be inserted under, around and/or on a corner of a pallet. A safety-marker post extends upwardly from the base and may include offset, tilting and/or telescopic segments and visual enhancements. A safety marker/topper secured to a top end of the post formed in a geometric shape with color, texture and/or luminescent patterns to provide a visually-distinct warning. The post and/or topper may be translucent or transparent with enclosed lighting to impart a visual warning. Extendable/retractable safety bands may be incorporated into the safety markers/toppers.

Pallet safety apparatus and method

A wastewater management system includes a series of water treatment modules to treat wastewater and produce reusable and/or potable water and other beneficial byproducts of the wastewater treatment process. A pretreatment module, a filtration module, an evaporator module, an odor control module, a UV-light module, an autoclave module, a sonolysis module, an ozone module and a chlorination module are combined in multiple combinations along with holding tanks, condensers, flash tanks and other components to address water purification and reclamation needs based upon specific wastewater conditions. The system captures condensate from AC systems and rainwater from rainwater gutter systems processes the water to produce reusable and/or potable water with or without re-mineralization. Any COproduced by the water treatment system is captured and processed using naturally-occurring flora. The wastewater treatment system includes multiple closed-loop subsystems to minimize energy usage and maximize water purification and reclamation for reuse.

Zero discharge water treatment apparatus and method

A modified bullet cartridge having a score line formed around a primer bore. The score line may be positioned symmetrically or asymmetrically about the primer bore. The score line may have a regular or irregular two-dimensional geometric shape. A modified bullet cartridge having a counter-bore formed superposed about a primer bore. The counter-bore may have a vertical counter-bore extension and/or a radial counter-bore extension. Adhesive is positioned in the counter-bore about a primer secured in the primer bore. The primer may have a radial flange extending radially from an exterior sidewall of the primer. The flange registers against a bottom surface of the counterbore, or within a radial flange extension if present. Adhesive is used to lock the primer flange against the counter-bore and/or radial counter-bore extension. The combination of the counter-bore, adhesive and optionally the flanged primer locks the primer to the bullet cartridge to render the cartridge unusable after one use. The bullet cartridge is rendered waterproof with the use of the adhesive.

Single-use shell casing

A wastewater management system includes a series of holding tanks in combination with a membrane bioreactor treatment subsystem connected to one or more autoclaves and/or sonolysis units and thermal evaporators to treat liquid discharge from the system. A condenser connected to the thermal evaporator(s) condenses water vapor created by the thermal evaporator(s) into its liquid state for delivery to, and assimilation by, plants in a dedicated greenhouse or hydroponic system or for reuse in a building. COand water vapor produced by combustion of a thermal evaporator fuel source is sent through the condenser to add to the liquid water recovery. The COis flowed into the greenhouse(s) for carbon fixation by plants. A COmonitoring system ensures the concentration of COin the greenhouse is maintained at an acceptable level for humans. Ozonation, UV and/or chloride treatments may be used as optional water purification treatments in the system.

A waste-basket-liner-bag-retaining apparatus including a pair of liner bag retaining apertures formed on opposing sides of a waste basket to receive and secure a waste basket liner bag. Reusable aperture covers can be secured over the apertures to occlude the apertures. A waste-basket-liner-bag-retaining apparatus includes hook inserts secured to either side of a waste basket to provide hooks for retaining an end of a waste basket liner bag. In another embodiment, two sets of magnets, each set formed within, or secured to inner surfaces of, opposing waste basket container walls of a waste basket container that secured magnetized hooks. A waste-basket-liner-bag-retaining apparatus includes apertures formed on opposing sides of a waste basket container, each with a retractable cover to secure portions of a liner bag in the apertures. The retractable covers may include rotatable bag retaining tabs.

Waste basket liner securing apparatus

A sap collection assembly to collect sap from sap producing trees includes a cover superposed about a sapling or branch cut surface with one or more spacers used to maintain a gap between the cover and the cut surface. Elastomeric bands with an optional hose clamp are used to secure the cover to the sapling or branch to create an airtight seal between the cover and the cut surface. A bore hole is created in the sapling or tree branch has one end substantially central to the cut surface and a second end exiting a sidewall of the sapling or branch. Taps with optional tabs are secured to the sapling or branch to retrieve sap from the cut surface and bore. For angled bore holes, a modified tap includes a sapling nozzle angled relative to the tap body to accommodate an angled bore. Tubes secured to the taps and stretched to create a downward slope from the sapling or tree to a tube hub point or sap collection point provide a means to transfer sap from sapling or trees to a collection point for processing with or without vacuum assist.

Maple sap collection apparatus and method

An apparatus and method to automatically and individually, simultaneously, and/or sequentially operate a horn system, a light system and/or a braking system of a vehicle. A threat detection system secured in the vehicle detects threats and sends one or more signals, directly or indirectly, to the braking, horn and/or light systems to activate those systems to improve delivery time of safety and/or emergency warning signals to third party vehicles and pedestrians. The systems can be connected directly via relay, or may incorporate an intermediary electronic control unit or controller to coordinate operation of the systems. A deactivation device enables a driver to disconnect the threat detection system from the horn, light and braking systems to permit manual control of those systems. A second deactivation device permits the driver to disconnect coordinated control of the brake, horn and/or light systems from the threat detection system.

Integrated and automated automotive brake/horn/light apparatus

A waste basket liner bag retaining apparatus including a pair of liner bag retaining apertures formed on opposing sides of a waste basket to receive and secure a waste basket liner bag. Reusable aperture covers can be secured over the apertures to occlude the apertures. In another embodiment, the waste basket liner bag retaining apparatus includes two sets of magnets, each set formed within, or secured to inner surfaces of, opposing waste basket container walls of a waste basket container. Magnetized hooks are positioned over a selected magnet in each set to permit retention of a liner bag. In a further embodiment, a waste basket liner bag retaining apparatus includes apertures formed on opposing sides of a waste basket container, each with a retractable cover to secure portions of a liner bag in the apertures. The retractable covers may include rotatable bag retaining tabs.

Disclosed is a capsule apparatus having a filter housing defining a filter chamber with a top cap having a plurality of ports extending substantially laterally from a top end of the top cap. The lateral and substantially uniform orientation of the ports facilitates connection to panel mount assemblies and improves filter maintenance processes. A transfer tube extending the length of the capsule allows the introduction of heated fluids from a top mounted inlet port to a bottom of the capsule chamber to allow or a substantially uniform heat gradient in the capsule filter chamber. A dispersion ring or dispersion plate may be secured to a distal end of the transfer tube to promote uniform dispersion of liquids and/or gases introduced into the capsule apparatus. An alternative shield secured in the housing defines a first chamber in fluid communication with an inlet and a second chamber wherein the two chambers are in fluid communication via an opening defined by a lower end of the shield and a bottom of the filter chamber. An alternative capsule apparatus has an outlet tube extending downwardly from a top mounted outlet port in fluid communication with an enclosed filter membrane secured below a column of loose filter media.

Modular filter capsule apparatus

An apparatus and method for monitoring and discriminating cell phone use (voice and text) in a vehicle from the exterior of the vehicle is provided. Cell phone use indicator lights are positioned on the exterior of a vehicle and wirelessly connected to or hardwired to cell phone use detection sensors located in seats and/or within the vehicle cabin to provide site specific information about specific cell phone use in the vehicle based on radio wave frequencies emitted by one or more cell phones in use in the vehicle. One or multiple indicator lights grouped in cluster arrangements to simulate the seat arrangement in a vehicle can be implemented. The apparatus may also be used in aircraft to monitor passenger electronic device use remotely from within the aircraft.

Cell phone texting external monitoring apparatus and method

A vehicle service access assembly having features for mounting to tow hooks of a pickup truck or utility vehicle to access the vehicle's engine compartment is disclosed. The assembly includes two tow hook inserts, secured to laterally adjustable components, configured to register against the tow hooks and vehicle frame members to releasably suspend the assembly for use. In other aspects of the disclosure, safety rails may be included to provide an added measure of safety. The assembly may also include a retractable, suspended step to facilitate vertical access to the assembly. In a further aspect, a retractable tool tray provides a secure and convenient means to assemble tools for use in the service of the vehicle.
