A lockout device configured to be lockingly secured to an external structure includes a housing defining an opening sized to receive the external structure, at least one gripping member disposed within the housing and positioned to receive the external structure, and a driving member assembled with the housing. The at least one gripping member is movable in an axial direction between a first position in which internal surfaces of the housing urge the at least one gripping member into gripping engagement with the external structure, and a second position in which the internal surfaces of the housing allow the at least one gripping member to expand to release the external structure. The driving member is operatively connected with the at least one gripping member for movement of the at least one gripping member between the first and second positions.

Lockout device

A combination locking arrangement includes a locking member, a locking lever connected to the locking member; and at least first and second tumbler discs rotatable about a tumbler disc axis. When each of the tumbler discs is rotated to an unlocking orientation, the locking lever engages aligned recesses in the tumbler discs, such that further rotation of the tumbler discs moves the locking member from the locking position to the releasing position. A dial is rotatable about the tumbler disc axis for selective rotation of the tumbler discs, and includes a drive portion rotationally secured in interlocking engagement with the first tumbler disc in one of a plurality of code selecting orientations. The locking lever includes a disc securing portion positioned to prevent axial disengagement of the first tumbler disc from the dial drive portion when the locking lever is engaged with the aligned recesses in the tumbler discs.

Combination locks with improved code-changing features

A locking clamp device is provided with first and second clamping members. The first clamping member includes a base member with a first clamping surface and a locking member movable with respect to the base member between a securing position and a releasing position. The second clamping member is slidably engaged with the first clamping member and selectively movable to a plurality of clamping positions. The second clamping member includes a second clamping surface opposite the first clamping surface. The lockout device further includes a means for preventing movement of the locking member from the securing position to the releasing position. The locking member is configured to secure the second clamping member in one of the plurality of clamping positions when the locking member is in the securing position.

A lockout device includes an inner housing and an outer housing. The inner housing has an upper end portion, a lower end portion, an arcuate outer portion extending between the upper and lower end portions, and a central bearing portion extending outward from at least one of the upper and lower end portions. The outer housing has an upper end portion, a lower end portion, an arcuate outer portion extending between the upper and lower end portions, and a central opening disposed on at least one of the upper and lower end portions and sized to receive and bear against the central bearing portion of the inner housing for telescopic rotation of the inner housing with respect to the outer housing. The outer housing is sized to at least partially receive the inner housing when the inner and outer housing are rotated to an open position.

A lockout device is provided for an electrical plug. The device includes a body and a retaining member disposed within the body and axially movable between a prong retaining position and a prong releasing position. The retaining member includes a prong engaging portion and a prong retaining portion. The prong engaging portion is configured to engage at least one of the first and second prongs when the first prong is inserted in the first slot for movement of the retaining member from the prong releasing position to the prong retaining position. The prong retaining portion is configured to extend through the first transverse aperture when the first prong is inserted in the first slot, and is configured to withdraw from the first transverse aperture when the first prong is pulled from the first slot.

A telescoping lockout device for encasing a gate valve, electrical connection, or similar apparatus, for the purpose of preventing unauthorized access and tampering with the apparatus. The lockout device is comprised of two nested half cylinders attached to one another through T slot that provides for telescoping of the device between an open position, where one half cylinder is nested within the other, and a closed position, where the half cylinders form a cylinder. The T slot provides a rail on one half cylinder that inserts into a track on the other half cylinder. At the ends of the T slot track and rail is an interlock. The lockout device also has locking tabs that, when the lockout device is placed in the closed position, provide overlapping locking openings into which a lock, such as a padlock, can be inserted.
