An apparatus and method for simulating a package pressure burst condition for calibrating a package pressure burst detector, where the package pressure burst detector is connected to a pressure tank, and the detector applies an air flow into the tank to gradually increase the tank pressure, and the tank has an output relief conduit connected to a pressure relief valve via a pressure switch, wherein the pressure relief valve is activated for a predetermined time when the pressure switch detects a preset pressure in the tank.

Package burst pressure simulator

A testing device for measuring leakage from packages, the device having an internal chamber for receiving the package and a cover for sealing the package into the chamber. A gas passage from the chamber to a gas detector carries gas to be measured, and an air passage into the chamber provides a purging passage, and a gas inlet passage though the cover admits gas into the upper part of the chamber.

Multi-port gas leakage measurement fixture

A plug for providing a predetermined flow rate of leakage gas from a sealed package for purposes of calibration of gas measurement instruments, the plug having an axial passage therethrough with a threaded interior wall; and a bolt for threading into the plug axial passage, the bolt having an axial passage therethrough, and an insert for insertion into the bolt axial passage, the insert having a predetermined size opening for permitting only a predictable flow of leakage gas through the plug.

Apparatus for providing leakage calibration in packages

An apparatus for measuring the capacitance of tablets of varying shapes and sizes by conveying the tablets along a curved path which includes a zone of travel between the plates of a capacitive sensing device. The tablets are conveyed in a relatively fixed orientation by constructing a guide channel including a fixedly-positioned curved guide spaced away from a rotatable disk, and wherein a resilient clamp is provided above the guide channel so as to compress the tablet against the rotatable disk during its path of travel.
