The present invention is directed to methods for extracting fluids from oil and gas wells. More specifically, it is directed toward methods and apparatuses to power and control down hole hydraulic devices using subterranean centrifugal pumps. This invention represents a vast improvement over current hydraulic artificial lift systems. This invention provides for safe, efficient, and increased fluid recovery of oil and gas reserves from subterranean reservoirs in all types of wells, including deviated and horizontal wells.

Submersible hydraulic artificial lift systems and methods of operating same

A water sport board locking system includes multiple key members that are insertable into a slot of a fin box of a water sport board (e.g., a surf board, for example a surfboard. The key members include a key member that operates as a rotation deterrent element which prevents rotation of another key member when the key members are located in the fin box slot and secured together with a tether or padlock. The system can be used to secure a water sport board while a fin of the watersport board remains located in the fin box slot.

Devices and methods for securing water sport boards

An apparatus for producing dry ice is provided. The apparatus generally includes an expandable shell assembly, an expansion control assembly for controlling expansion of the expandable shell assembly, and a delivery system for delivering liquid carbon dioxide from a supply of liquid carbon dioxide to the dry ice chamber. The expandable shell assembly is made of multiple separable shell portions and an inner surface of at least one of the shell portions forms a wall of the dry ice chamber. The expandable shell assembly is structured to automatically relieve pressure within the dry ice chamber when the dry ice chamber has been sufficiently filled with a mass of dry ice.

Method and apparatus for making dry ice

A thermal barrier for a Dewar vessel combines an insulative vapor plug and a vapor barrier. The plug is sized so as to define an open space between it and the neck portion of the Dewar vessel to allow venting of vaporous cryogen from the inner vessel of the Dewar vessel through a Dewar opening. The vapor barrier provides an interference between the plug and the neck portion that disrupts venting of vaporous cryogen but does not form an airtight seal that would block venting and cause unacceptable build-up of pressure within the inner vessel. Multiple vapor barriers, especially four or more, provide multiple interferences that create multiple chambers between the plug and the neck portion. Each interference disrupts migration of vaporous cryogen as an incremental increase (e.g., 2 psig or less) in vapor pressure of each chamber causes the chamber to breach and then another incremental increase in vapor pressure of the liquid cryogen in the vaporous state is required to breach each successive chamber. The thermal barrier can be inserted into the neck portion of a conventional Dewar vessel to increase its holding time.

Vapor plug for cryogenic storage vessels

A method, device and composition for achieving ignition and sustained combustion using a solid consumable catalytic bed (CCB) is described. The CCB accomplishes this by decomposition of an injected fluid. Initially this reaction is catalytic or hypergolic in nature, eventually becoming entirely thermal as the CCB is consumed in the reaction generated. The CCB may be placed in a hybrid motor system such that the decomposed injected fluid will undergo combustion with the solid grain. When the injected fluid is high concentration hydrogen peroxide the catalytic materials of construction for the CCB are selected from the metallic hydride family, the manganese oxide family and the cuprocyanide family.
