A clock circuit for a microcomputer having a clock input, a halt mode state output and an interrupt input, comprises: a clock pulse generator having an output, a switch for applying a pulsed output to the interrupt input of the microcomputer to indicate a start of operation; a latch receptive of the output of the switch to change from a first state to a second state, gates receptive of the output of the clock pulse generator and the latch for applying clock pulses to the microcomputer when the logic is in the second state and preventing the application of clock pulses to the microcomputer when the logic is in the first state and circuitry for applying the halt mode state output to the logic circuit to disable same from the second state to the first state.

Method and circuit for controlling single chip microcomputer

A sensor-integrator circuit having a sensor for producing a current varying in accordance with the sensed parameter or a reference current source, a comparator having inverting and noninverting inputs and an output and charge storage device coupled to the inverting input. The circuit is energized to obtain a given positive steady state reset voltage, a reference voltage is applied to the noninverting input of a comparator which is less positive than the steady state voltage and integration is initiated solely by alternately applying the current from the sensor and the reference current to the inverting input of the comparator.

Sensor integrator system

A control for a thermal oven having a manually settable timer for establishing preselected broiling and baking times. The control includes an alarm and circuitry for sounding the alarm at the end of the timed cooking period. The control further de-energizes the heating elements a short preselected time after the time period set by the user in the event the user does not take affirmative steps in response to the alarm. The control continues to provide a reminder alarm operation at predetermined intervals, such as five-minute intervals, until such time as the user provides the affirmative input to terminate the control operation and reset the system.

Thermal range control

A housing enclosing a control for use in an electrical apparatus having structure defining a control space arranged to preclude access to the control in the housing when the housing is in the control space. The apparatus may include a connecting device for connecting the apparatus to an alternating current power supply for normal electrical operation of the apparatus. The control may comprise an alarm device which causes operation of the alarm upon a malfunctioning of the apparatus, and includes a battery for operating the alarm in the event of a failure of the power supply. The battery is removably connected to a circuit board portion of the control and a structural portion of the electrical apparatus prevents replacement of the battery and exposure of the control circuit when the housed control is in the control space and connected to the alternating current power source. The control housing is arranged to expose a portion of the battery for observation by the user when the housed control is in the control space.
