A union is used to join mating high pressure flow line components. The union comprises an abutment, an annular gland, a seal assembly, and a plurality of threaded connectors. The abutment is between bearing surfaces on the mating components. The gland is formed by alignment of rabbets on the mating components and extends axially across and radially inward of the bearing surface. The seal assembly is carried in the gland and comprises first and second elastomeric seals on each side of a metal backup ring. The threaded connectors extend through holes in the mating components and apply axial load to the abutment to form the union.

Unions for high pressure flowline components

A densitometer assembly comprises a pipe fabricated from a high-yield steel, a radioactive source, and a detector. The radioactive source is mounted on an exterior wall of the pipe and is adapted to emit gamma radiation in a defined beam. The detector is mounted on an opposing, facing exterior wall of the pipe in alignment with the gamma radiation beam and is adapted to detect gamma radiation.

Swing valves have a passage and a sleeve. The passage has a receptacle, and the sleeve is pressure fitted into the receptacle. The sleeve is adapted to conduct flow through the valve and comprises a first end, a second end, and a valve seat. The first end of the sleeve is pressure fitted into the receptacle. The second end projects out of the receptacle. The valve seat is on the face of the second sleeve end. The second sleeve end also is adapted to couple with a sleeve cap extending over and across the second sleeve end to shut off flow through the sleeve.

A modular pinion shaft that includes a tubular member having a first end and a second end, a first pinion gear member secured to the first end by a plurality of fasteners, and a second pinion gear member secured to the first end by a plurality of fasteners. Gear teeth of each of the pinion gear members are aligned by one or more indexing members disposed between the tubular member and each pinion gear member.

A monolithic bullet has a tapered nose and a cylindrical shank. The shank has a sealing boss, a groove, a case alignment boss, and a bore riding surface. The case alignment boss is adjacent the nose and has a diameter greater than the nominal groove diameter of a rifle barrel of the same caliber as the bullet. The groove is adjacent the sealing boss and has a diameter less than the nominal groove diameter of the barrel. The case alignment boss is adjacent the groove and has a diameter approximately equal to or less than the nominal groove diameter of the barrel. The bore riding surface has a diameter approximately equal to the nominal bore diameter of the barrel.

Pivot valves have a valve seat and a valve closure mounted for pivoting movement through a closure chamber in a passage. The pivot valves may be selectively set in a check mode and an open mode. Flapper valves have a hydrofoil extending from a flapper. Valve assemblies comprise the pivot valves and flapper valves and have an open condition, a check condition, and a shut-off condition.

Frac pumps have a fluid end and a fluid end block. The fluid end block has a plunger cylinder having a primary axis, a suction bore having a primary axis, a discharge bore, and a pump chamber. The pump chamber is defined by the intersection of the plunger cylinder, the suction bore, and the discharge bore. The fluid end block has a cylindrical portion extending along the primary axis of the suction bore. The cylindrical portion has a diameter greater than the diameter of the plunger cylinder. The pump chamber also has a ridge that extends radially inward from the walls of the pump chamber in a plane normal to the suction bore primary axis.

Dual path control fittings have a fitting body and a cylindrical plunger. The fitting body has a cylindrical bore, a first conduit, and a second conduit. The cylindrical bore provides a first inlet and an opening. The first conduit provides a second inlet. The second conduit provides an outlet. The cylindrical plunger is mounted for reciprocation in the bore and has a first conduit and a second conduit. The first conduit extends from one end of the plunger to a port on the circumference of the plunger. The second conduit extends transversely across the plunger. The plunger has a first position in which the port is aligned with the second fitting body conduit to provide a first path and a second position in which the plunger second conduit is aligned with the fitting body first and second conduits to provide a second path.

A pump system includes a first pump and a second pump each having a plunger assembly. The plunger assembly includes a crosshead, a plunger, and a sleeve. The sleeve at least partially surrounds the plunger and an end of the crosshead. The sleeve is configured to create a fluid seal between the plunger and the crosshead.

A thread form for a threaded connection comprising a plurality of threads, wherein at least a portion of each of the threads comprise a root having a root radius that extends from a point central to the root and having planar flanks extending from both sides thereof.

An enhanced union connection for connecting tubular members together. The enhanced union connection may include a male end member, a female end member, a wing nut, and nut retaining segments. The union connection is configured to quickly and easily connect and disconnect tubular members together, while providing and maintaining a robust connection and seal (e.g. up to 15,000 psi or more) between the tubular members when connected together.

A manifold trailer is provided and includes a chassis, a low pressure piping system disposed along a length of the chassis, and a single high pressure output manifold disposed along the length of the chassis, the high pressure output manifold terminating at a splitter that distributes fluids from the high pressure manifold to a wellhead.

A valve assembly having a seat, a valve body, and a seal. The valve body has an outer circumferential surface defined by an upper planar surface, a lower planar surface, and a groove disposed between the upper planar surface and the lower planar surface. The seal is coupled to the outer circumferential surface of the valve body. The valve body and the seal are movable into engagement with the seat to form a seal.

Embodiments of the disclosure provide a fluid end with a modular intake manifold for use in a pressurized fluid delivery system having two or more modules. According to one embodiment, an intake manifold for a modular multiplex pump includes a reducer coupled to an intake end of each module of the pump, a tee body coupled to a reduced diameter end of each of the reducers, and a damping material disposed within a volume of the reducer.
