A treatment method and apparatus for surgical correction of defective-eyesight in an eye of a patient, wherein a laser device is controlled by a control device, said laser device separating corneal tissue by irradiation of laser radiation to isolate a volume located within a cornea, wherein the control device controls the laser device to focus the laser radiation, by providing target points located within the cornea, into the cornea, wherein the control device, when providing the target points, allows for focus position errors which lead to a deviation between the predetermined position and the actual position of the target points when focusing the laser radiation, by pre-offsets depending on the positions of the respective target points to compensate for said focus position errors.

Treatment apparatus for surgical correction of defective eyesight, method of generating control data therefore, and method for surgical correction of defective eyesight

A planning device that generates control data for a treatment apparatus which produces at least one cut surface in the cornea by application of a laser device. The invention further relates to a treatment apparatus having a planning device of the aforementioned type. The invention further relates to a method of generating control data for this treatment apparatus, and also to a method for eye surgery, at least one cut surface being produced in the cornea by application of a treatment apparatus with a laser device. The planning device has a calculation application that defines corneal cut surfaces, including a lenticule cut and a cap cut, the incision being controlled by the control data such that mutually corresponding locations of the lenticule cut and cap cut are impinged by laser pulses during substantially the same time interval.

Device and method for producing control data for the surgical correction of defective eye vision

A device for isolating a lenticle in the cornea of an eye. The device includes: a laser beam source to emit pulsed laser radiation having a pulse frequency of 1.2 MHz to 10 MHz, a pulse energy of 1 nJ to 200 nJ and a wavelength penetrating the cornea; a beam-forming unit having beam optics with an image field and that bundles pulsed laser radiation into a focus located inside the image field, and which has a maximum diameter of less than 3 μm; a beam-deflection unit shifting the focus in the cornea and inside the image field, the focus moving along a path when the image field is resting; and a control unit to control the source and the beam-forming unit to isolate the lenticle by specifying the path. A system for therapy of the eye by treating tissue with therapeutic radiation using nonlinear interaction. A laser device is provided, which delivers the therapeutic radiation. The therapeutic radiation is focussed by a focussing device in an image field, and xy scanners and z scanners shift the focus laterally and longitudinally within a treatment volume. The therapeutic radiation is either a second short pulse radiation or a first short pulse radiation, each of which have a spectral centroid within a wavelength range defined by the short pulse properties. The system is particularly corrected with regard to longitudinal chromatic aberrations and lateral chromatic aberrations such that the spectral characteristic curves of the two aberrations each have a local extreme within the wavelength ranges, and a certain tolerance within the wavelength ranges is not exceeded, therefore the characteristic curves are very shallow.
