An example system of the present disclosure is configured to detect (e.g., by a processor of the system), in response to a wireless device being in proximity to a wagering game machine, a request to pair the wireless device with the wagering game machine. The system is further configured to, in response to detection of the request to pair the wireless device with the wagering game machine, automatically obtain, without user input, secret information from either the wireless device or from a configuration device accessible via a network. The system is further configured to generate, based on the secret information, an encryption key, and automatically pair the wireless device with the wagering game machine using the encryption key.

Persistent device relationships in wagering game systems

In some embodiments, in a system comprising a wagering game machine, the wagering gaming machine including a digital camera and a barcode recognition unit, a method includes: detecting, by the digital camera, a barcode within a field of view of the digital camera and capturing a picture of the barcode; via the barcode recognition unit, decoding the barcode to produce decoded barcode data; in response to the decoded barcode data representing a desired casino wagering game, determining whether the desired casino wagering game is installed on the wagering game machine; and, if the desired casino wagering game is installed on the wagering game machine, loading, initiating and presenting the desired casino wagering game on an electronic display device of the wagering game machine.

A gaming system configured to perform operations that include receiving, electronically, a first coded identifier, and providing, for presentation, on a display device of a mobile device, the first coded identifier for detection by a wagering game machine. The operations can further include detecting a second coded identifier presented by the wagering game machine after the detection by the wagering game machine of the first coded identifier. The second coded identifier is captured by an image capture device associated with the gaming system. The operations can further include transmitting, electronically, the second coded identifier.

A method can include providing a wagering game including a plurality of tasks, the plurality of tasks including a first task, a second task, and a third task, wherein the first task must be performed via a wagering game machine in a land-based casino, wherein the second task must be performed online, and wherein the third task must be performed via a ticket. The method can further include establishing a player account in at least one memory device. A wagering game system and its operations are described herein. In some embodiments, the operations can include detecting that one or more wearable computers are within a proximity range to a wagering game machine. Embodiments of the inventive subject matter include a method comprising: operating a primary controller to present a first wagering game on a gaming terminal, the first wagering game including first content from a first content source; operating a secondary controller to present a second wagering game on the same or another game terminal, the second wagering game including second content from a second content source; accessing, by the second controller, funds from a first credit meter associated with the first wagering game; and electronically routing accessed funds from the first credit meter to a second credit meter associated with the second wagering game to fund one or more wagers for the second wagering game.

Distributing information in a wagering game system

A gaming system for conducting a multi-player wagering game includes a multi-touch table surface that is touched by a handheld electronic wager input device (EWID) carried by a player for placing wagers on a wagering game displayed on the multi-touch table surface. Each EWID carried by a player has an associated unique identification code, which is linked to the respective player's account. Players indicate an amount to be wagered by touching the EWID to designated wager amount areas, then place the wager by touching the EWID to a designated wagering area. Because each EWID is uniquely associable with distinct player accounts, the gaming system can support any number of players placing wagers. The funds remain safe in the player account and no funds are stored on the EWID. Only the identification code is detected, which is compared with the associated player account before allowing that player to place wagers.
