A ratcheting armrest assembly includes an articulating frame assembly. Also included is a ratchet anchor operatively coupled to the articulating frame assembly for rotation with the articulating frame assembly. Further included is an anchor assembly operatively coupled to the articulating frame assembly. Yet further included is a ratchet operatively coupled to the anchor assembly. The ratchet includes a first plurality of teeth and the ratchet anchor including a second plurality of teeth, wherein the first plurality of teeth and the second plurality of teeth are engageable with each other, the second plurality of teeth free to rotate relative to the first plurality of teeth in a first rotational direction and self-locking with the first plurality of teeth in a second rotational direction. Also included is a directional spring biasing the ratchet in the second direction in a first orientation and in the first direction in a second orientation.

Ratcheting armrest assembly for a vehicle

A child seat assembly for use on a vehicle seat includes a seat portion, a base and a backrest. The seat portion is adapted to be supported on the vehicle seat and includes a cavity. The base is disposed at least partially within the cavity of the seat portion. The seat portion is operatively coupled to the base for selective sliding movement of the seat portion in a longitudinal direction relative to the base. The backrest is coupled to the seat portion and pivots about an axis extending in a lateral direction in response to the sliding movement of the seat portion relative to the base.

Adjuster and hinge for child booster seat

A resonant frequency adjustor for mounting onto an exhaust pipe of an exhaust system of a vehicle adjusts the resonant frequency(s) of the exhaust pipe to minimize or control vibration transmitted to the vehicle and/or to tune the sound emitted by the exhaust system. The resonant frequency adjustor includes a base mounted to the exhaust pipe, an isolator attached to the base, a stud attached to and extending from the isolator, and a mass located on the stud. A gross adjustment of the vibration of the exhaust pipe may be achieved by varying the location of the resonant frequency adjustor on the exhaust pipe. A fine adjustment of the vibration of the exhaust pipe may be accomplished by adjusting the position of the mass on the stud.

Resonant frequency adjustor and method of utilizing the same

A foldable headrest assembly for a seat includes a pair of posts engaged with an upper portion of the seat and a frame rotatably supported by the posts. A latch is moveably supported by the frame and includes a release pin. A release mechanism is coupled to the latch for moving the latch from a locked position preventing rotation of the frame relative to the posts to an unlocked position allowing rotation of the frame relative to the posts. The assembly further includes an inertia lock rotatably coupled to the frame. The inertia lock defines a stop slot corresponding to the release pin. In response to deceleration of the frame, e.g., resulting from a collision of the vehicle, the inertia lock rotates to a triggered position whereby the stop slot receives the release pin and limits movement of the release pin thereby maintaining the latch in the locked position.

Foldable headrest assembly

The foldable headrest assembly includes a first and second support and a first and second paddle. A first and second plate extending from the supports and supported by the paddles rotate in unison about a first axis (A) from an upright to a forwardly folded position. A lock lever rotatably supported by the first plate rotates about a second axis (A) between a locked position and an unlocked position. A first biasing member (FBM) is disposed between the plates and a second biasing member (SBM) is supported by the first plate engaging the lock lever. The FBM rotatably biases the supports about the Atoward the forwardly folded position and the SBM rotatably biases the lock lever about the Atoward the locked position in a common rotational direction as the rotation of the supports about the A. A release mechanism for rotating the lock lever is also disclosed.
