A salt water chlorinator () for a swimming pool includes an electrolysis cell having two anodes () and a cathode (). Two scrapers (), each of which is of titanium and includes scraping portions in the form of ribs () in contact with the opposite surfaces of the cathode, are reciprocated relative to the cathode () to remove scale deposits from the cathode (). The scrapers () are mounted in a frame () and their scraping ribs () are curved such that the ribs () are self-biased against the cathode surfaces. A mechanism for reciprocating the scrapers () includes two solenoid coils () which act on cores () in a stem () of the frame (). A control circuit for the electrolysis cell is contained in a housing () which is attached to a housing () for the electrolysis cell. The control circuit includes a flow sensor for sensing salt-water flow through the electrolysis cell.

Salt water chlorinator

A multi-impeller arrangement and to a pump having the impeller arrangement. The impeller arrangement or impeller cluster includes at least two impellers, each impeller having an annular back plate and an annular front plate. The impellers are releasably secured together in an axially in-line series having the front plate of a first impeller at one end and the back plate of a second impeller at the other end. The second impeller includes an axial projection which extends from its back plate, through and beyond its front plate to the first impeller. The first impeller is engaged with the projection of the second impeller such that all impellers are rotatable as an assembly.

Impeller arrangement and pump

A fluid pump of the type in which a housing assembly has a first sub-housing having an electric motor therein which is in line with a second sub-housing having the impeller therein, with the motor having a rotor shaft which extends through a seal of the first sub-housing into the second sub-housing and with the impeller mounted on the rotor shaft so as to be rotatable by the motor, and the second sub-housing having inlet and outlet ports through which fluid, such as water, is able to be pumped through the second sub-housing.

Pump

An impeller assembly includes an impeller which has a pair of plate means adapted for individual connection to a drive shaft for rotation by the drive shaft about an axis, and vane means disposed intermediate the pair of plate means and adapted for rotation with the pair of plate means. The impeller assembly further includes means for applying force parallel to the axis of the impeller to the impeller so as to clamp the pair of plate means and intermediate vane means together.

Impeller assembly

An adjustable headrest for a seat backrest having a mounting system includes a frame structure adapted to be secured on the mounting system for up and down movement relative to the seat backrest. The headrest also includes a drive mechanism having a height adjustment drive system for controlling height adjustment of the headrest by moving a height adjuster section, and a fore/aft adjustment drive system for controlling fore/aft adjustment by moving the fore/aft adjuster section. The fore/aft drive system has an adjustment member constrained to up and down movement, and the adjustment member is engaged with the adjuster section so as to permit for/aft movement of the adjuster section relative to the adjuster section and the adjustment member.

Adjustable headrest

An actuator for adjustment of a flexible line such as a cable or rope. The actuator includes a screw threaded spindle and a cooperatively engaging adjustment member having a nut with an internal screw thread that is in threaded engagement with an external screw thread of the spindle. The adjustment member is rotatable relative to the spindle to cause axial movement of the spindle. A turning block or pulley is mounted on an end of the spindle for rotation on an axis extending transversely with respect to the axis of the spindle and the flexible line is retained in relation to the spindle. The flexible line is passed around the turning block or pulley for adjustment of the flexible line by axial movement of the spindle.

A lumbar support adjustment device is disclosed comprising a bracket (11) adapted to slidably restrain a lumbar support belt means (13) adapted to extend between first (12) and second (12') side frames of a seat, said bracket being adapted to be secured to the first side frame and having associated cam means (16) operable to slidably move said belt means between a first and a second position to provide lumbar support adjustment in which said cam means cooperates directly with cam follower means formed in or on said belt means.
