A pocket for a golf bag includes a main body defining a storage compartment. The pocket includes a first attachment mechanism movable between an attached state attaching the main body to a first attachment location of the golf bag and a detached state allowing the main body to be separated from the first attachment location. The pocket also includes a second attachment mechanism movable between an attached state attaching the main body to a second attachment location of the golf bag and a detached state allowing the main body to be separated from the second attachment location. The pocket includes a carry mechanism operable to allow the main body to be carried separately from the golf bag when the first attachment mechanism is in the detached state and the second attachment mechanisms is in the detached state.

Golf bag accessory bag

An accessory bag for a main bag is provided and may include a main body extending along a longitudinal axis between a first end and a second end. The main body may be movable between a collapsed state having the first end disposed proximate to the second end and an expanded state having the first end separated from the second end. The accessory bag may further include an attachment device associated with one of the first end and the second end that selectively attaches the main body to the main bag.

A golf ball may include an inner core layer and an outer cover layer disposed radially outward of the inner core layer. The outer cover layer may be formed of an outer cover layer material having one or more grooves extending radially inward from an outer surface of the outer cover layer. In addition, the golf ball may include a groove material disposed within the one or more grooves. The groove material may have a compressibility that is different from a compressibility of the outer cover layer material. The groove material may have a compressibility that is different from a compressibility of the outer cover layer material. Also, the outer surface of the groove material may be recessed below the outer surface of the outer cover layer.

A golf ball is provided that includes a coating. The coating is designed to allow a golfer to modify or increase the tackiness of the coating. The coating changes tackiness when exposed to a soaking material. A method of determining a desirable length of soak is also disclosed.

A golf ball may include an inner core layer and an outer cover layer disposed radially outward of the inner core layer. The outer cover layer may be formed of an outer cover layer material having one or more grooves extending radially inward from an outer surface of the outer cover layer. In addition, the golf ball may include a groove material disposed within the one or more grooves. The groove material may have a compressibility that is different from a compressibility of the outer cover layer material. Also, the outer surface of the groove material may extend radially outward beyond the outer surface of the outer cover layer.

A method of making a golf ball may include molding at least one core layer and molding an outer cover layer radially outward of the at least one core layer, from an outer cover layer material, including forming one or more grooves extending radially inward from an outer surface of the outer cover layer. The method may also include molding a groove material within the one or more grooves, the groove material having a compressibility that is different from a compressibility of the outer cover layer material. In addition, molding the groove material may include forming the groove material such that an outer surface of the groove material extends radially outward beyond the outer surface of the outer cover layer.

Method of making golf ball with material-filled grooves

A golf ball includes an inner layer, a cover layer, and a cavity. The cavity includes a conduit connecting the cavity with an exterior of the golf ball. The cavity contains a matrix comprising particles of a first material bound together by a second material. The first material has a density greater than water and the second material is water soluble. Upon prolonged submersion in water, the matrix dissolves allowing the first material particles to exit the cavity. The removal of the mass of the first material particles lowers the density of the golf ball, allowing the golf ball to float to the surface of the water.
