Fiber optic splice closures adapted to house a large number of fiber splices. The closure holds a splice assembly including a support frame that supports two stacks of splice trays. The splice assembly can be inverted to access the second stack of splice trays. The support frame can also define one or more fiber organizing areas within the splice closure.

Grounding assemblies for cables entering telecommunications enclosures. The grounding assemblies include a cable fixation subassembly and a grounding subassembly that are electrically coupled together to ground strength members and a conductive shield of a cable. The cable fixation subassembly can fixate the cable such that the strength members lie in a plane that is at a non-zero angle relative to each of a horizontal reference plane and a vertical reference plane.

Cable grounding assembly for telecommunications enclosure

The cover and base of the enclosure of the assembly are releasably connected by latches and flanges integral with the cover and base. A mounting bracket facilitates mounting of the assembly upon a telephone pole or other exposed static structure. Vertically spaced upper and lower cable strain-relieving members underlie each cable passageway of the base of the enclosure. Each strain-relieving member is of generally u-shaped configuration. The open ends of the upper and lower strain-relieving members face in different directions. Each pair of the strain-relieving members collectively extends about the entire circumference of a cable engaged thereby.

Enclosure assembly for telecommunication cables

A re-enterable butt cable splice closure comprising a base and domed cover. The base has various parts that hinge together around cables, and has a gel sealing material defining cable entry ports which gel is put under compression when the parts of the bases are brought together. The base is supported on a support that has guides that align the cables with the ports.
