A method for project development within an enterprise. The method can consist of gathering project related information from different sources and using the information to create reports. The reports can include information from more than one source. The information and the reports can be displayed for assessment in a graphical user interface providing access to a set of sub-graphical user interfaces. The displayed information and reports can be analyzed to monitor the progress of the project through the project development process. An end of a phase of the project development process can be determined and, upon the completion of a previous phase, an individual with responsibility for a next phase can be notified by automatically sending a message to the individual, informing the individual that the next phase can begin.

EDP portal cross-process integrated view

A system for selecting a concept related to an enterprise development project is provided. The system includes a database, an authoring component, a review component, a scoring component, and an evaluation component. The database stores information about a concept and the authoring component allows a user to provide the information about the concept. The review component allows a reviewer to review the concept. The scoring component is operable for individuals to score the concept. The concept may also be designated with a priority. The evaluation component is operable for one or more evaluators to consider and designate the concept for further consideration. The concept is identified as associated with the strategic enterprise initiative that the concept supports. The system also includes graphical user interfaces that allow the concepts to be evaluated and viewed based on both the priority and score of the concepts.

Concept selection tool and process

A computer implemented system for determining average product revenue is provided. The system includes at least one data store that is operable to maintain revenue data for a plurality of products. The system also includes a processor programmed to calculate a first revenue-based age metric based on revenue from a first product over a period, an age factor for the first product, and revenue for a group of products over the period. The processor is further programmed to calculate a second revenue-based age metric based on revenue from a second product over the period, an age factor for the second product, and revenue for the group of products over the period. The first and second revenue-based age metrics may be used to compare the first and second products.

System and method for determining revenue-based age

A method for creating an updateable report representing the alarm status of a network. The method can comprise tracking the lifecycle state of at least a portion of the elements within the network, categorizing at least a portion of the alarms generated in the network based on the lifecycle state of the elements generating the alarms, and removing selected alarms from an updateable report based on the lifecycle state of the elements generating the alarms. Alternatively, all alarms generated by network elements having a tracked lifecycle state can be categorized based on the lifecycle state of the elements generating the alarms. The alarms removed from the updateable report can include alarms generated by elements with a non-operational lifecycle state, alarms generated by elements with a maintenance lifecycle state, or alarms generated by elements with either the non-operational or the maintenance lifecycle state.

Filtering approach for network system alarms based on lifecycle state

A method of recovering orphaned network resources in a network service having a network model. An audit state for each resource of the network service that is included in the network model can be identified. The audit states can include confirmed, unconfirmed, and suspect. The confirmed audit state indicates that evidence has been gathered for a resource of the network service that verifies the accuracy of the network model, the suspect audit state indicates that evidence has been gathered for a resource of the network service that challenges the accuracy of the network model, and the unconfirmed audit state indicates that no evidence has yet been gathered to indicate a resource of the network service as confirmed or suspect. The audit state for each resource can be stored and this information can be coupled with other information regarding the resource. The network service can be redesigned using only resources with a confirmed audit state and then reconfigured to correspond with the redesign. Resources with a confirmed audit state that were not used in the reconfigured network service can be made available for reuse. Resources that had a suspect audit state in the network service before the reconfiguration of the network service and that are not used in the reconfigured network service can be identified as orphans. Orphan recovery procedures can be performed on the orphans.

Orphaned network resource recovery through targeted audit and reconciliation

A method for creating an updateable report representing the alarm status of a network. Network alarms are categorized based on the source and type of alarm, the alarms are placed in a filtering system based on source and type, selected alarms are replaced with alarm representations, and a report is updated with alarm representations. The filtering system comprises non-temporal, temporal, and linkage-based filtering. Non-temporal filtering includes de-duplication, clear message mapping, and classification. Temporal filtering includes frequency-based and cycling-based filtering. Linkage-based filtering includes internal linkage-based and external linkage-based filtering. The network can comprise the interconnected networks of an enterprise or of a single domain of an enterprise. The domain can comprise a business domain or operating system domain. The network can comprise a group of client computers connected to a server computer. The report can be displayed on a computer screen or can be sent to another location for further processing.

Filtering approach for network system alarms

A method for auditing and reconciliation of a network with a network model that includes identifying an audit state for each network resource included in the network model, storing the audit state for each resource, coupling the stored audit state information with information regarding the resource, reporting a calculated value reflecting the aggregate audit states of the resources, monitoring the calculated value, and triggering a reconciliation process when the calculated value drops below a defined threshold. The calculated value can be a best-case aggregate accuracy percentage, worst-case aggregate accuracy percentage, or presumed average aggregate accuracy percentage. The audit state can be stored as an additional field in the primary data store for the network model or in a separate data store that is associated with the primary data store. The audit state can be unconfirmed, confirmed, or suspect. The audit state is used to trigger and/or measure audit and reconciliation processes.

Network model audit and reconciliation using state analysis

A method for reconciliation of a network with a network model that includes identifying an audit state for each network resource included in the network model, storing the audit state for each resource, coupling the stored audit state information with information regarding the resource, determining a calculated value reflecting the aggregate audit states of the resources, and running a series of reconciliation processes of increasing intrusiveness until the calculated value meets a defined threshold. The calculated value can be a best-case aggregate accuracy percentage, worst-case aggregate accuracy percentage, or presumed average aggregate accuracy percentage. The audit state can be stored as an additional field in the primary data store for the network model or in a separate data store that is associated with the primary data store. The audit state can be unconfirmed, confirmed, or suspect. The audit state is used to manage the intrusiveness of the reconciliation processes.
