An example system includes a processor to receive a high-level design representation of a system architecture. The processor can synthesize a logic design and generate an associated synthesis history based on the high-level hardware design representation. The processor can then execute an equivalence check between the high-level design and the synthesized logic design based on the generated synthesis history.

Embodiments of the present invention provides methods, computer program products, and a system for processing hierarchical references for a formal equivalence check. In certain embodiments, hierarchical references of a first design are identified as functionally equivalent to hierarchical references of a second design. Value outputs of the first design can be compared to the value outputs of the second design to determine whether the value outputs of the respective designs match.

Equivalency verification for hierarchical references

Magnetic means and apparatus for implementing rail bonds and rail feeds. A rail bond embodiment comprises an electrical conductor. Mechanically and electrically coupled to each end of the electrical conductor is a magnet that comprises a magnetic material that is plated with an electrically conductive material. In an alternative embodiment, the magnet comprises a magnetic material that is disposed between two pieces of steel or other metal. In operation, the two magnets are attached to two rail sections, across a joint separating the rails, via the attractive magnetic force between each magnet and its associated rail. In this way, the electrical circuit comprising the rails is maintained.

A technique for verification of a retimed logic design using liveness checking includes assigning a liveness gate to a liveness property for an original netlist and assigning a fairness gate to a fairness constraint for the original netlist. In this case, the fairness gate is associated with the liveness gate and is asserted for at least one time-step during any valid behavioral loop associated with the liveness gate. The original netlist is retimed, using a retiming engine, to provide a retimed netlist. The liveness and fairness gates of the retimed netlist are retimed such that a lag of the fairness gate is no greater than a lag of the liveness gate. Verification analysis is then performed on the retimed netlist. Finally, when the verification analysis yields a valid counter-example trace for the retimed netlist, a liveness violation for the original netlist is returned.

An event is detected in the network data processing system indicating that a software module is to be installed in a set of data processing systems in the network data processing system. A configuration of each data processing system in the set of data processing systems is discovered, and a set of instructions is created using a knowledge base of prior installations. The set of instructions is tailored for each data processing system in the set of data processing systems based on the configuration for the each data processing system in the set of data processing systems. The set of instructions for the software module to be installed is sent to the set of data processing systems.

Methods and systems are provided for dynamically generating a hint set for enhanced reachability analysis in a sequential circuitry design that is represented by a Binary Decision Diagram (BDD). After determining a ranking of the BDD variables, they are sorted in the order of the ranking. The ranking is used to select some of the variables for use in creating hints for more efficiently performing the reachability analysis in a creating an equivalent sequential circuitry design.

Method and system for dynamic automated hint generation for enhanced reachability analysis

A method, a system and a computer program product for re-using verification results associated with a circuit design to eliminate a formal verification re-run associated with a subsequent verification of the circuit design. A Verification Data Re-use (VDR) utility initiates the creation of a first netlist data structure and a first set of target signatures for the circuit design. The VDR utility initiates an initial functional verification run of the circuit design and stores the results of the verification run. When a subsequent verification of the initial design is initiated, the VDR utility compares the first set of target signatures with a second set of target signatures for the subsequent verification run. A match of target signatures indicates that corresponding design targets have an identical functionality and the VDR utility re-uses verification results from the initial verification run to eliminate an extensive formal verification re-run for the circuit design.

Enhancing formal design verification by reusing previous results

A method, apparatus, system, and signal-bearing medium that in an embodiment apply a latch behavior to a first and second netlist, where the latch behavior exhibits transparent behavior. Flush enabling conditions are applied to the first netlist and a second netlist. For each latch in a first scan chain in the first netlist, a corresponding latch in the second netlist is found. Cones of logic are then extracted from the latches under the constraints enabling the flush operation, and the cones of logic are compared for functional equivalence. If all the cones are functionally equivalent, then the flush reset states of the netlists are functionally equivalent. If at least one of the cones is not functionally equivalent, then the flush reset states of the two netlists are not equivalent.

Equivalence checking of scan path flush operations

The disclosed design verification system includes a verification engine to model the operation of an integrated circuit and to assess the model's adherence to a property during N time steps of its operation. The value of N is recorded and propagated. The propagated value of N is used to reduce resources expended during subsequent analysis of the integrated circuit by ignoring the model's adherence to the property during the early stages of subsequent analysis (during time steps less than N). The system may include a diameter estimator that identifies a value of N beyond which subsequent modeling of the integrated circuit produces no new states. Property checking is ignored during states having a time step value greater than the estimated diameter.

Conductive filler

A duct cleaning device, including a flexible conduit with a first, inlet end and a second, outlet end. An end cap with a central hole is attached to the first end; a connector adapted for coupling the device to a vacuum hose (or the inlet of a vacuum cleaner) is attached to the second end. A flexible, radially-projecting brush is attached to the exterior of the conduit, extending helically about the conduit; a plurality of throughholes (some of which carry flexible, radially-projecting tubes) are positioned near the brush. In operation, the device is connected to a source of vacuum. The first end is rotated while being moved into (or removed from) a duct, while the brush sweeps the interior surface of the duct to dislodge particulates of house dust and other contaminants from the surface. The particulates are swept into the conduit through the hole in the end cap and the throughholes in the conduit. The conduit and the brush are flexible, so the device can readily traverse offsets and bends in duct systems without damaging flexible plastic or fiberglass ducts.
