A joist has a front surface and first and second opposite side surfaces. The side surfaces extend in a rearward direction from the front surface. They also extend in a lateral direction perpendicular to the rearward direction. An electrical box has a hole configured to receive a fastener that fastens the box to the first side surface. The box further has a side wall and a rear wall together defining a cavity that is isolated by the box from the hole. The cavity is configured to extend along both side surfaces of the joist and to contain electrical connections. The side wall extends laterally beyond the hole and the rear wall is located rearwardly beyond the hole.

A small round floor box installs through a two inch diameter hole in a floor to provide a small footprint that improves the appearance of the installation and makes it less obtrusive. The box accommodates a single power receptacle or data plugs that attach to mounting plates that snap connect within the box.

An electrical bracket for mounting an electrical device having a wall structure defining a front opening. In one embodiment, the bracket includes at least one breakaway mounting member which can be used to mount the bracket to a surface or be removed when the member is not needed. In another embodiment, the bracket includes at least one breakaway alignment member which can be used to align the bracket to a mountable surface or be removed when the member is not needed. The bracket can further be mounted to a surface in a plurality of orientations.

A unitary pipe loop component for use with a sinker bar and a pair of pipes in a wellbore includes a return bend pipe fitting having a fluid flow passage configured to extend between the pipes in the wellbore, and further includes a sleeve having a passage with open opposite ends to receive the sinker bar through the sleeve. A weight suspension structure is connected to the sleeve and the pipe fitting as another distinct portion of the unitary pipe loop component, and has a knockout portion configured to provide an eyelet for insertion of a hook, tether, or the like for suspension of a weight. The eyelet may alternatively receive an anchor.

Wellbore apparatus

A gangable electrical unit for positioning an electrical component beside an electrical outlet box includes a bracket with a wall structure and an adhering element for mounting the wall structure of the bracket on a wall of an electrical outlet box. In one embodiment, the adhering element is positioned on an outward facing wall of the bracket. The invention also relates to a ganged electrical outlet box incorporating the gangable electrical unit.

A gangable electrical unit for positioning an electrical component beside an electrical outlet box includes a bracket with a wall structure and means for mounting the wall structure of the bracket on a wall of an electrical outlet box. In one embodiment, the means for mounting the wall structure of the bracket on a wall of an electrical outlet box is a pair of clips associated with the wall structure of the bracket for resiliently grasping a wall of an electrical outlet box when positioned adjacent thereto. In another embodiment, the means for mounting the wall structure of the bracket on a wall of an electrical outlet box is an adhering element positioned on an outward facing wall of the bracket. The clips and adhering element may be used simultaneously to adjoin the gangable unit to an electrical outlet box. A further embodiment includes a break-away stop extending outwardly from the wall structure of the bracket. The invention also relates to a ganged electrical outlet box incorporating the gangable electrical unit.

Dual voltage electrical assembly

An electrical utility box is configured to contain an electrical device. The box includes a bottom wall, two opposing side walls, two opposing end walls, a mounting boss, and a shield structure. The mounting boss has a bore configured to receive a fastener that fastens the electrical device to the box. The shielding structure is configured to block an uninsulated wire from contacting a portion of the fastener that protrudes from an open lower end of the bore.

Gangable electrical assembly

The invention relates to the use of drill-pointed screws to attach electrical boxes to heavy gauge metal studs. The drill-pointed screws of the invention are at least two inches long and have a length to thread diameter ratio of at least 12 to 1. The electrical boxes of the invention have brackets that form a relatively steep angle to the stud, such a steep angle having proven necessary to get the drill-pointed screws to penetrate the metal. The electrical boxes may also include a second set of brackets that angle more shallow angle with the stud surface and are more suitable for use with nails. The electrical boxes are preferable made of extra-thick relatively shatter resistant engineered plastic and are preferably formed so that they can be vertically stacked in a nested fashion.
