Processes are provided for removing contaminants from a refinery gas. Such process can include recovering a process gas comprising ethylene and propylene from a steam cracker effluent recovered from a stream cracker in a steam cracker facility. A refinery gas can be recovered from a refinery facility. The process gas can be compressed in a plurality of compressor stages. A pressure of the refinery gas can be determined. A compressor stage in the plurality of compressor stages can be selected for introducing the refinery gas using the determined pressure of the refinery gas. The refinery gas can be introduced into the selected compressor stage to produce a combined gas that can include the process gas and the refinery gas. At least a portion of one or more impurities can be removed from the combined gas in the steam cracker facility to produce an upgraded combined gas.

Processes and systems for upgrading a hydrocarbon

Disclosed are processes for converting an alkyne to an olefin comprising feeding a molecular-oxygen-containing gas stream into a converting zone of an alkyne converter along with an alkyn-containing feed mixture comprising hydrocarbons and molecular hydrogen to contact the converting catalyst. The converting catalyst can be regenerated online as a result.

Process for methane conversion

In a process for converting methane to aromatic hydrocarbons, a feed containing methane and a particulate catalytic material are supplied to a reaction zone operating under reaction conditions effective to convert at least a portion of the methane to aromatic hydrocarbons and to deposit carbonaceous material on the particulate catalytic material causing catalyst deactivation. At least a portion of the deactivated particulate catalytic material is removed from the reaction zone and is heated to a temperature of about 700&#xb0; C. to about 1200&#xb0; C. by direct and/or indirect contact with combustion gases produced by combustion of a supplemental fuel. The heated particulate catalytic material is then regenerated with a hydrogen-containing gas under conditions effective to convert at least a portion of the carbonaceous material thereon to methane and the regenerated catalytic particulate material is recycled back to the reaction zone.
