A mounting anchor for a motor vehicle includes a locking bar, a first switch, a first movable plate, a second switch and a second movable plate. The first switch is positioned adjacent a first side of the locking bar and the first movable plate is positioned to slidably engage a groove on the first side of the locking bar. The first movable plate includes a first activation area for receiving a portion of the first switch and a first aperture for receiving a first rotatable arm. The second switch is positioned adjacent a second side of the locking bar, which is opposite the first side of the locking bar. The second movable plate is positioned to slidably engage a groove on the second side of the locking bar and includes a second activation area for receiving a portion of the second switch and a second aperture for receiving a second rotatable arm.

Mounting anchor for a motor vehicle

An optical splitter arrangement is provided for accepting a light from at least one input and providing multiple light outputs of four or more, a light intensity of the outputs differing from one another no more than two dB, and a light intensity of the cumulative outputs differing no more than three dB from the light intensity of the input. The arrangement includes at least one input fiber having a diameter (I) and a numerical aperture (NA), the input fiber providing a light input and projecting the light input into a spot sized to a diameter (D); at least two intermediate ribbon mixing elements, the ribbon mixing elements having a generally constant thickness and height cross-sectional areas with each ribbon mixing element with a cross-sectional endface exposed to the projected spot of input optical fiber, each such ribbon mixing element being exposed to a generally equal area to the spot, and a total thickness of the ribbon mixing elements being approximately equal to D, the endface of the ribbon mixing elements being spaced approximately (D-I)/(2.times.tan theta) wherein theta equals sine.sup.-1 (NA); and a C number of output optical fibers abutting an end of each ribbon mixing element opposite the input optical fiber(s) wherein C is at least two.

Optical splitter

A transmitter for a LAN electro-optical interface, capable of transmitting data at a rate of at least 50 MBd is disclosed. The transmitter includes a parallel gating circuit for providing a high current drive signal in response to a data signal, and a parallel resistor capacitor circuit, connected between the parallel gating circuit and a light transmitting device, for improving the leading edge response time of the light transmitting device.

Lan electro-optical interface

A receiver circuit for a LAN electro-optical interface includes a high pass filter connected between the optical signal receiving element and the standard ECL line receiver. The high pass filter removes noise from the signal output by the optical signal receiving element, thereby reducing the bit error rate of the system and/or increasing the effective sensitivity of the system, enabling the signal transmission distance to be increased.
