A combined power take off and controller includes a power take off including a housing that is adapted to be supported on a housing of a source of rotational energy, an input mechanism that extends through an opening provided in the housing and is adapted to be rotatably driven by the source of rotational energy whenever the source of rotational energy is operated, and an output mechanism that is rotatably driven by the input mechanism and that is adapted to be connected to a rotatably driven accessory. The controller is responsive to one or more operating conditions of the power take off for monitoring and/or controlling the operation thereof.

Provided is a power transfer unit, such as a power take-off unit including an input shaft coupled to an input gear for common rotation and axially movable relative to the input gear for engaging a coupling at a first end of the shaft with a drive component, a chamber formed between the input shaft and input gear, and a piston axially movable in the chamber, whereby the piston rotates with the input shaft. Due to the rotation of the piston with the input shaft, a power take-off unit is provided without the need for components to separate the piston from the input shaft.

A lift control interface is operable to control and monitor a lift system. Each lift column in the system has such a lift control interface. The lift control interface allows a user to assign lift columns to a lift system. One or more of the assigned lift columns may be assigned to a column control group. The user may lock the selection of these columns. The status of the assigned, selected, and locked lift columns may appear on every lift control interface in the lift system. The user may govern operation of the selected columns in the column control group from a single control interface, such as any control interface at any of the selected columns. The lift control interfaces may include visual representations showing the relationships between the lift columns and a vehicle, such as with lift column icons being positioned around a vehicle icon.

A split shaft transfer case includes a first housing portion and a second housing portion that are secured together along a plane of engagement to form an enclosure. An input shaft and an output shaft that are each supported for rotation about an axis of rotation that is generally parallel to the plane of engagement defined by the first and second housing portions. A first operating shaft is supported for rotation about an axis of rotation, and a first operating clutch selectively connects the first operating shaft to the input shaft for rotation therewith. A second operating shaft supported for rotation about an axis of rotation, and a second operating clutch selectively connects the second operating shaft to the input shaft for rotation therewith. The axis of rotation of at least one of the first and second operating shafts is movable relative to the axis of rotation of the input and output shafts.
