An electrical receptacle cover is securable over an electrical receptacle. The cover includes a generally planar cover plate for positioning over the receptacle. The cover plate includes an outlet opening therethrough for accessing the outlet of the electrical receptacle. The cover plate also includes an aperture therethrough for passage of a threaded fastening element. A threaded nut-like securement member is formed integrally with the planar cover plate. The securement member is frangibly removable so that it may be attached to the receptacle for accommodating the fastening element extending through the cover plate.

A continuous length of cable ties may be formed utilizing a non-continuous molding operation by molding discrete shots of cable ties, such discrete shots having connection capability therebetween allowing the connection of one discrete shot of cable ties to a second discrete shot of cable ties thereby providing one continuous strip of cable ties.

A hanger bar assembly supports an outlet box between spaced apart support elements. The assembly includes a longitudinally expandable elongate support bar having a first elongate open ended channel member, and a second open ended channel member. The first channel member being slidably and telescopically received in the second channel member. A fastening element slidably supported within the first channel member. The channel members having adjacent facing surfaces, one of the surfaces having a gripping element for engaging the other surface. A mounting apparatus for attaching the outlet box to the fastening element. Upon securing the outlet box to the fastening element, the facing surfaces are urged together and the gripping element engages the other facing surface thereby restricting movement between said members. Additionally, an attachment member coupled to each opposed end of the support bar is provided. The attachment apparatus is securable to the spaced apart support elements for securing the hanger bar assembly.

Hanger bar assembly

An electrical outlet box including a bottom wall having a plurality of cable accommodating bottom wall openings and an upstanding side wall perimetrically bounding the bottom wall and including a plurality of cable accommodating side wall openings. The bottom wall and side wall define a box interior. A cable clamp is adjustably mounted within the box interior. The cable clamp allows restricted passage of the cable through the side wall openings while covering the bottom wall openings.

Universal octagonal outlet box

An improved electrical ceiling box including a top portion bounded by a peripheral side portion, with a pair of diametrically opposed ear lugs rigidly secured to the side portion. Each ear lug has a pair of ears integrally formed therewith extending inwardly into the interior cavity of the box. A first ear fits within a recess formed in the bottom edge of the box, while a second ear extends through a slot formed in the side portion of the box. The second ear has a mounting hole formed therein adapted for threaded engagement with a self-tapping screw, while the first ear has a receiving hole formed therethrough for supporting the distal end of the screw. In a preferred embodiment, the box has a substantially hexagonal configuration. In an alternative embodiment, the box has a circular configuration and is shallower, thereby eliminating the need for a pair of slots for receiving the first ears. Preferably, the ear lugs are formed from a heavier gauge material than the remainder of the box for improved strength and resistance to breakage from fatigue.

An electrical receptacle cover assembly provides weather-tight closure of a receptacle outlet. The cover assembly includes a faceplate mountable over an electrical receptacle. The faceplate includes an opening for exposing an outlet of the receptacle. A cover is hingedly attached to the faceplate for closing the opening. A spring is positioned between the cover and the faceplate and supports the cover in a normally closed position. The spring includes a leaf spring portion and a cantilevered spring portion each independently deflectable to permit repeated closure of the cover.

An improved electrical outlet box having thin wall construction and localized elements for structurally reinforcing the box. The thin wall outlet box includes a bottom wall and a perimeter wall perimetrically bounding the bottom wall and an open upper end defined by a lip. The perimeter wall comprises a plurality of sidewalls which join together to form corners. Each of the sidewalls has a reinforcement rib longitudinally extending substantially parallel to the lip and projecting inwardly toward the interior of the box. In addition, each of the corners has an outwardly projecting rib which extends downwardly from a point on the corner between the lip and the bottom wall onto the bottom wall.

Thin wall electrical outlet box

An improved electrical outlet box assembly includes an outlet box and a cover. The outlet box includes a bottom wall and a sidewall perimetrically bounding the bottom wall and an open upper end. The sidewall supports a pair of diametrically opposed ear lugs. Each ear lug has a pair of ears integrally formed therewith extending inwardly into the interior of the box. The ears secure a fastening element. The cover is removably frictionally engagable with the box and provides a closure for the open upper end of the box. The cover includes a generally planar surface with a pair of diametrically opposed dome-shaped protrusions extending from the top surface of the cover. The protrusions are positioned on the cover such that they align with the ears and accommodate the fastening elements therein. The cover further includes a pair of locking members extending from the bottom surface of the cover and which are frictionally engagable with the ears thereby holding the cover onto the outlet box.

A protective housing for electrical outlets and the like includes a box surrounding the outlets and a cover. A gasketless joint is formed between the hinged cover and the box for inhibiting entry of moisture into the box. The box includes a slot in its peripheral wall for receiving a cord with a plug that is positioned inside the box.

Housing for electrical outlets

A mounting assembly is attachable to a pre-manufactured electrical box. The box which includes a pair of opposed side walls, is insertable into an opening cut into a mounting wall. A pair of clip-on securement members are mountable onto each of the opposed side walls. Each securement member includes a bracket positioned on an external surface of the side wall and a brace supported by the bracket. The brace is movable on the bracket so as to clamp the box to the mounting wall.

Wall mounting assembly attachable to an electrical box

A bracket supports an electrical access floor module in an opening in a raised floor. The bracket includes an elongate member having a first surface positionable on the upper surface of the floor, and a second surface extending perpendicular thereto into the floor opening. The second surface of the bracket includes a pair of bendable legs adapted to be bent under the floor to lie along the under surface of the floor. This securely supports the bracket in the floor opening. The second surface of the bracket further includes a screw receiving member for accommodating a screw inserted from within the access floor module to secure the module in the opening. The screw accommodating member prevents relative lateral movement of said access floor module with respect to said opening.

A circular inner knockout and a non-circular outer knockout formed in a wall are individually connected to the wall by frangible webs located opposite from one another. The frangible web connecting the inner knockout to the wall is stronger than the frangible web connecting the outer knockout to the wall. The periphery of the outer knockout includes by a plurality of interconnected discrete circular curved portions, and does not completely surround the inner knockout.
