A cooling system comprising of a coolant manifold, a heat sink configured to fit in the coolant manifold, a plurality of cooling fins formed in the heat sink, and a coolant configured to flow through the coolant manifold to the heat sink. Diamond shaped pin fins associated with the heat sink create a series of divergent fluid paths for the cooling fluid that helps to create turbulence and improved heat transfer.

System and method for cooling digital mirror devices

Apparatuses include a laser cutter positioned within an enclosure that is capable of cutting printed sheets; however, this cutting produces debris made up of airborne dust of the sheet material and marking material. An air duct is capable of drawing an air stream of air and the debris out of the enclosure. A dispenser is positioned within the air duct where the air duct connects to the enclosure. The dispenser is capable of dispensing a dry powder of calcium carbonate into the air stream. The dry powder attaches to the debris. The combination of the dry powder and the debris forms waste, and a filter device (that is connected to the air duct) filters the waste. The filter device is capable of separating the air from the waste, to collect the waste and release the air free of the waste to areas outside the filter device.

A height adjuster moves a platform along a cart frame, and the platform contacts an alignment stop when the platform is in a loading position on the cart frame. Platform slots are connected to the platform, and the platform slots are sized and shaped to match the size and shape of linear projections of a replaceable printing module. Clamps are sized and shaped to connect to connection points of a printing device and align the cart frame to the printer frame. The platform slots are positioned by the platform to be aligned with housing slots of the printing device when the clamps connect the transport cart to the printing device, and when the platform contacts the alignment stop (and is in the loading position) this allow the replaceable printing module to be transferred between the transport cart and the printing device.

A process for thermoforming a circuit onto a three-dimensional part comprises applying electrically conductive lines on a substrate to form a flexible circuit. The flexible circuit is heated to a temperature sufficient to thermoform the substrate into a shape that conforms to said three-dimensional part and attached to the three-dimensional part.

In an example embodiment, an image processing system can be implemented, which includes a printing surface and a prism that splits light from an input light source into two parallel light beams indicative of a signal image. An apparatus and a method for cooling a digital micromirror device are disclosed. For example, the apparatus includes a digital micromirror device (DMD), a socket coupled to the DMD and a spray cooling block coupled to the socket to form an enclosed volume with a surface of the DMD. The spray cooling block includes a first plurality of openings to spray liquid droplets onto the surface of the DMD and a second plurality of openings to collect effluent into an effluent collection volume.

Ink replenishing bottles can be inserted upright into holder of the bottle loading mechanism, connected to a supply tank, and folded back out-of-the-way in a dispensing position. The bottle may be rotated from a gravity feed position to a rotated position for removal and installation while the bottle remains in the holder. The bottle when empty may be used to collect waste from the image forming device.

A DMD cooling apparatus and method includes a DMD chip configured on a substrate, and a heatsink located within and integrated into the substrate upon which the DMD is configured. A plurality of micro-channels can be formed on a backside of the substrate. The micro-channels are fabricated via microlithography in association with a fabrication of the DMD chip such that the heatsink integrated into the silicon substrate allows for direct heat removal from the substrate.

The method includes operating an ejector head of a three-dimensional object printer to eject drops of material onto a platen to form the printed part, operating an actuator to move the printed part from the platen to a cavity of an injection mold of an injection molding system, and operating injectors of the injection molding system to inject material into the cavity of the injection mold to form the molded part that adjoins the printed part to form the three-dimensional object.

The spacer may be positioned above the transport belt.
