Apparatus, systems, and methods may operate to detect a plurality of changes to one of a database format and database content between a first version of a database and a second version of the database, and to transmit change information to a receiving entity, enabling display of the plurality of changes in at least one of a row-wise collective format, a column-wise collective format, a field-wise collective format, or a record-wise collective format. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Tracking database changes

Various embodiments illustrated and described herein include one or more of systems, methods, software, and data structures for package file presentation. Some embodiments include receiving a package file including a presentation specification, one or more content files, and metadata defining display elements within the presentation specification and associating each display element with one of the content files. The package file may then be presented by instantiating the presentation specification as a function of executable code embedded within the presentation specification. Some embodiments further include instantiating each display element, each display element including a link to an associated content file within the package file and to generate and distribute display elements within a graphical user interface.

A method, apparatus and computer program product for requesting information upon returning to a search results list is presented. A search results list is presented to a user. The user can then navigate to an item referenced in the search results list. The user is provided with additional content when the user returns to the search results list, the additional content permitting the user to provide comments regarding the item previously navigated to from said search results list.

Various embodiments illustrated and described herein include one or more of systems, methods, software, and data structures for presentation of package files including a reference content item. Some embodiments include receiving a reference content item, such as an image, map, or calendar, and mappings of package files to locations within the reference item for display. Such embodiments may then publish the package file. Some other embodiments include generating visual representations of package files including a reference content item and one or more content items mapped to locations within a reference content item. Such a visual representation may include a view of the reference content item and a graphical element representative of the content item at the mapped location within the view of the reference content item.

Method and system for conditionally transmitting changes to information in a collaborative environment are provided. A system comprises a display, a change tracking module, and a rendering module. The change tracking module is configured to detect changes by a modifying user to information as a propagating or a non-propagating change. The rendering module transmits first view data to enable altering a first view based on the modification as part of a graphical user interface on the display presented to the modifying user and transmits second view data to enable altering a second view presented to a group of users, not including the modifying user, based on the modification if the modification comprises the propagating change. The second view data is not transmitted if the modification comprises the non-propagating change.

Method and system for conditionally transmitting changes to information in a collaborative environment

Various embodiments illustrated and described herein include one or more of systems, methods, software, and data structures for package file presentation. Some embodiments generate visual representations of package files by extracting a list of display elements of a package file, each display element representative of a content file or a content folder including one or more content files included in the package file; extracting a presentation specification from the package file; and presenting a view of the package file as a function of the presentation specification and the list of display elements.

Systems and methods may operate to display a plurality of data containers or bubbles within a user interface so that they do not overlap. Data containers are associated with a pointer or association indicium of fixed size that indicates the relationship between the data container and a target item. They systems and methods include, among other things, determining that two or more data containers will overlap if displayed in the user interface and performing a shift of the data containers, a resizing of the data containers, a shifting of the pointer, or a combination of the above. Various embodiments described herein include systems, methods, software, and data structures of and for authoring and presentation of package files. Some such embodiments include instantiating a package file and receiving a presentation specification to include in the package file, the presentation specification displayable within a media playing application to provide a representation of display elements defined in the package file. Such embodiments may further include receiving content files, defining display elements for each content file, and associating each content file with a respective display element. A package file may then be generated, published, and/or displayed as a function of the presentation specification.

Authoring package files

Apparatus, systems, and methods may operate to detect modifications made to information, the modifications received from a modifying user included in a group of users sharing the information by separately viewing presentations of the information. The presentations may have any number of views, such as a first view and at least a second view. Further actions may include transmitting first view data to enable altering the first view for the modifying user based on the modification made, whether the modification comprises a propagating change or a non-propagating change, and if the modification comprises a propagating change, transmitting second view data to enable altering at least the second view for at least some of the group of users, not including the modifying user, based on the modification. If the change is a non-propagating one, then the activity may include refraining from transmitting the second view data. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Collaborative editing operations

A system displays a graphical element in a graphical user interface, and receives a command to display the at least one graphical sub-element associated with the graphical element. The system replaces the display of the graphical element with a display of at least one graphical sub-element associated with the graphical element, and implements the graphical sub-element such that execution of the graphical element invokes execution of the graphical sub-element associated with the graphical element.

Methods and apparatus for graphical object implementation

Editing an image is disclosed. Editing may include receiving a marking on the image, activating a command interface in response to the marking, receiving a command via the command interface, and applying the command to a portion of the image, where the portion is determined based at least in part on the marking.
