A lighting arrangement comprises an optical apparatus () with a radiation outlet surface () and an optoelectronic component () for producing radiation, with an element () which is formed like a reflector being formed. The shape and arrangement of the element are suitable for deflecting radiation generated in the component through the radiation outlet surface, and the element is designed to specifically absorb this radiation. The lighting arrangement is preferably intended for particularly homogeneous back-lighting of display apparatuses such as liquid crystal displays (LCDs).

An illumination device is specified which comprises an optoelectronic component having a housing body and at least one semiconductor chip provided for generating radiation, and a separate optical element, which is provided for fixing at the optoelectronic component and has an optical axis, the optical element having a radiation exit area and the radiation exit area having a concavely curved partial region and a convexly curved partial region, which at least partly surrounds the concavely curved partial region at a distance from the optical axis, the optical axis running through the concavely curved partial region.

Projection apparatus

A motor-vehicle headlight is specified, having at least one light-emitting diode, and an apparatus for controllable manipulation of the beam path of the electromagnetic radiation emitted from the light-emitting diode. The described motor-vehicle headlight is distinguished inter alia by a particularly variable emission characteristic.

A light-emitting diode arrangement is disclosed, comprising at least one light-emitting diode (LED) chip with a radiation decoupling surface through which a large portion of the electromagnetic radiation generated in the LED chip exits in a main direction of emission; a housing laterally surrounding the LED chip; and a reflective optic disposed after the radiation decoupling surface in the main direction of emission. Lighting device comprising a plurality of semiconductor light sources

A laterally emitting radiation-generating component comprising a radiation source, the optical axis of which runs perpendicular to a mounting area of the component, and comprising an optical device arranged downstream of the radiation source. The optical device includes a reflective surface shaped like a V in cross section and a refractive surface that is shaped convexly as seen externally and is arranged between the reflective surface and a bottom area facing the radiation source. The bottom area is arranged and formed in such a way that through it electromagnetic radiation from the radiation source couples into the optical device. The reflective surface is arranged and formed in such a way that a central first portion of the coupled-in radiation is deflected toward the refractive surface by the reflective surface. An illumination device is specified which has a light source () suitable for coupling divergent electromagnetic radiation () into an optical waveguide (), the electromagnetic radiation () being guided in the optical waveguide () on the basis of total reflection the optical waveguide () being suitable for changing a main radiating direction () of the electromagnetic radiation (), and the optical waveguide () being formed in one piece. This invention relates to uniform backlighting of surfaces by semiconductor light sources. Various semiconductor light sources are combined into identical illumination groups. These identical illumination groups are arranged so that uniform backlighting of a surface is made possible. For homogeneous color mixing to be achieved, especially at edges, each illumination group in the arrangement has at least one adjacent illumination group in a different orientation.
