A flushing device comprising an evacuation fitting () that is provided with a sealing member () within a pressurized container (). The sealing member () is lifted counter to the pressure of a piston () in order to initiate the flushing process. A connecting device () for a water pipe () is disposed on the container (). The flushing device further comprises a structure () for flushing with a partial quantity of the flushing water. For example, the structure () is provided with a power-loaded part () which moves the valve member () down onto the valve seat () of the evacuation fitting () when the flushing process is interrupted. In an alternative embodiment, two chambers are provided, only one of which is emptied during partial flushing. Flushing water can be conserved by the fact that the flushing process can be interrupted.

A flushing device includes a cistern, in which at least one pressure chamber is arranged with a supply line for water and a discharge valve. At least part of the flushing water may be pressurised in the pressure chamber and may be discharged for flushing through the discharge valve. At least one pressure cylinder unit is provided, in which the flushing water may be pressurised and discharged for flushing, by means of a spring-loaded pressure piston. The pressure piston is preferably held in a starting position and may be released for a flushing execution. Should two pressure cylinder units be provided, either a partial or a complete flushing operation may be selected.

The cistern body has an interior in which fittings are to be accommodated. At least one functional part of the inflow or outflow fitting is integrated in the wall of the cistern body. The functional part is preferably a pipe which forms an overflow channel, an inflow channel or an installation channel. The cistern body is preferably produced by blow molding.

The flush-mounted flush tank has a tank body with a bottom wall, side walls with a front wall and a cover wall as well as an inspection opening. The front wall and the cover wall each have an inspection opening, which can be arranged optionally for actuation from the top or for actuation from the front at the time of mounting. The inspection opening not in use is covered with a closing plate. Only one tank body is needed for the two usual types of actuation, which substantially simplifies stock keeping and mounting.
