A wrapping tape for automatically circumferentially wrapping an axially extending article, in particular a cable or a cable loom, the tape suitable for wrapping around the article and then tautened and joined to itself in an overlapping manner by a joining tool. The wrapping tape comprises a core with a contact area, which is designed to rest on the article; and tabs protruding laterally from the core. A tab forms such an angle with the contact area that the joining tool can engage behind the tab when the tape is wrapped tightly around the article, and without the tool engaging behind the contact area, while tabs of overlapping tape portions are joined to one another.

Wrapping tape for a cable harness

A mounting clip for mounting a component on a supporting part having an aperture includes a head section for attaching the component. A shank section is insertable in the aperture. At least two latching fingers are resiliently held apart from the head section on opposite shank section sides which spread outward toward the head section. At free ends the latching fingers have latching surfaces that rest against a supporting part underside when the mounting clip is inserted in the aperture. The shank section has on one side which extends perpendicular to the sides having the latching fingers, a contact surface that is supported on the aperture inner edge, and has on the side opposite the contact surface an elastically resilient rib or tongue that is supported with a preload against the aperture inner edge after the mounting clip is placed in the aperture.

A fastening element for fastening a longitudinally extending article, in particular a cable or a cable loom, which is to be fixed to a component, in particular to a motor vehicle body part, with a wrapping tape. The fastening element comprising a body including a first cheek element, a second cheek element, and at least two connection struts which connect the cheek elements to one another in a longitudinal direction of the body, and which define an opening for receiving the tape. The tape is insertable into the opening substantially transversely to the longitudinal direction, in order to circumferentially wrap the article with the wrapping tape.

Fastening element for a cable harness

A method and apparatus for automatically circumferentially wrapping a cable with a wrapping tape connectable to a fastener, wherein the apparatus comprises: a gripper device with movable jaws, a joining tool, a first feeder; a second feeder, and a control device. The jaws permit the fastener and the wrapping tape to be circumferentially guided around the cable. The joining tool joins overlapping portions of the tape, and is adapted to join the tape separately to the fastener. The first feeder advances tape to the gripper device during the wrapping operation and retracts the tape during tautening. The second feeder feeds the fastener to the gripper device. The control device locks the fastener in a predefined circumferential position relative to the cable, and causes the first feeder to advance the tape forward relative to the fastener by a predefined tape length.

Apparatus and method for automatically, circumferentially wrapping a cable harness

A fastener with a shank and, arranged at one end of the shank, a head intended for welding to a workpiece, has multiple detent pawls formed on the shank that extend radially outward from the shank toward the head and that are elastically resilient in the radially inward direction. On the outside, each detent pawl has an engagement recess with support surfaces. The shank has a longitudinal hole, in which is located a stud, wherein one end of the stud projects out of the longitudinal hole and forms the head for welding. Also formed on the shank is a flange that is elastically resilient in the axial direction, whose outermost edge region is located opposite the engagement recess of the detent pawls.

The holding clip () according to the invention, for simultaneous fastening of a plurality of approximately parallel-running, elongate articles () to a structure, in particular for the fastening of lines, pipes or cables, having a base part (), in which receivers () for the elongate articles () are formed, having at least one partition (') between two such receivers 8, which comprises a front side () and a rear side (), wherein there are provided for securing the elongate articles () in the receivers () at least one first latching finger () at the front side () and at least one second latching finger () at the rear side () of the partition (&#x2032;), is characterized in that the width BR of each latching finger is smaller than the width BZ of the partition (&#x2032;) and the first latching finger () is arranged offset relative to the second latching finger () in such a way that no overlapping occurs. The laterally offset latching fingers () allow a particularly compact style of construction of the retaining clip (), which makes it possible to mount a plurality of articles in the retaining clip () simultaneously without the retaining clip () being substantially spread, with the result that the fastening of a plurality of articles is enabled in a simple manner.

A holder for elongated objects comprises a half-shell including an inner shell of elastic material, forming a spring structure, and an outer shell of a less elastic material. The inner shell comprises a bridge-like arch spanning an interior and freely movable outward of the half-shell.

A retaining clip () is described, for fastening at least one line (), such as an electric line, fuel line, brake line or the like, to a support (). To said end, the retaining clip () comprises at least one bearing region () for the line () and one retaining region () for attachment to the support (). The retaining region () is formed according to the invention by a base part () and a closure part (), wherein the latter is preferably at least in sections of a strip-like construction. The invention is particularly suitable for fastening lines () to supports () in motor vehicles without the support () having to have a special fastening structure such as a hole or stud, i.e. the support itself may be, for example, a brake or fuel line already installed in the motor vehicle.
