A method can be used for producing a firewall in an opening of a building. In this case, at least one fire protection profile is used which contains a tube made of a composite material, which is filled with a fire protection material. The fire protection profile is designed such that it can be combined with an adjacent fire protection profile in the event of a fire. In order to produce the firewall, it is first transferred into an at least partially compressed state or provided in such a state. The fire protection profile is then introduced into the opening, with the at least partially compressed state being maintained. The fire protection profile is subsequently released so that it is decompressed at least partially and at least in portions.

The invention relates to a device for passing pipes or cables through an opening in a building. Said device comprises a sleeve-like housing that has an axial passage channel that is open at its opposite ends; bristles that are mounted on the walls of the passage channel in such a way that they are opposite each other and that are extended inwards in such a way that they mesh with one another in order to close the passage channel; and flexible strips of material that are mounted in the passage channel and that are coated with an intumescent material.

A water-draining joint sealing tape can be used universally for different profile dimensions, for sealing structural joints against sound and/or smoke and optionally against fire. A joint sealing tape for sealing a joint between a first component and a second component can include an elongate connecting element and at least two sealing elements which are positioned on the connecting element so as to be spaced apart next to one another and so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the connecting element. A foamable, insulating-layer-forming multi-component composition contains alkoxysilane-functional polymer, insulating-layer-forming fire-protection additive, blowing-agent mixture, cross-linking agent, and a flame-protection agent that is miscible in water or another compound that is miscible in water. The individual ingredients of the blowing-agent mixture are separated from one another to ensure inhibition of reaction prior to use of the composition, and the cross-linking agent is separated from the alkoxysilane-functional polymer to ensure inhibition of reaction prior to use of the composition. The foamable, insulating-layer-forming multi-component composition can be used as a foam-in-place foam or for production of molded blocks.

Foamable, insulating-layer-forming multi-component composition having improved storage stability and use of the same

A multi-chamber film bag for an inorganic multi-component foam system has at least two chambers which are partitioned off from each other in a liquid-tight manner. One of the chambers is filled with an inorganic component in powder form, on the basis of either gypsum or cement mortar, and another chamber is filled with a foaming component in powder form which can react with the component. A partition element separates the chambers from each other in a liquid-tight manner in a first state and can provide a flow connection between the chambers in a second state. At least one of the chambers has an opening section which can be opened to discharge the foam system, wherein the chamber having the opening section has a predefined residual volume for receiving a liquid.

A thermal insulating and sealant element can thermally insulate and seal a safing slot within a building construction having a wall construction. The insulating and sealant element includes an elastic sealing element; a formwork; an insulator, which comprises a thermally resistant and/or air tight material; and a supplemental attachment apparatus for attaching the elastic sealing element to an interior wall surface of an interior panel.
