Presented is an LED module comprising: a printed circuit board, PCB, with a plurality of LEDs mounted thereon; and first and second optical cover plates each comprising an optically transmissive portion and coupled to the PCB so as to cover a respective subset of the plurality of LEDs. The first and second optical cover plates have complementary geometries so that they are self-aligning in two axes.

A method for manufacturing a rotationally adjustable lamp () is disclosed. The method comprises: molding a shell () having a guiding slot (); providing a base () configured to receive the shell () and connect to a lamp socket; inserting the shell () into the base () so as to enclose the guiding slot () by the base (); and forming in the base (), when the shell () is inserted into the base (), a notch () protruding into the guiding slot (), the notch () being movable along the guiding slot () so as to allow for the shell () to be rotated relative to the base ().

Rotationally adjustable lamp and manufacturing method

Presented is a lighting device () with a light source and a heat dissipating element, comprising: an RF communication circuit (); a first antenna () electrically connected to the RF communication circuit and supported by a first portion () of lighting device; and a second antenna () adapted to communicate with external devices and electromagnetically coupled with the first antenna so that the second antenna is adapted to be excited by and to excite the first antenna, the second antenna is adapted to communicate with external devices and being supported by a second portion of the lighting device, wherein the second portion of the lighting device is movable with respect to the first portion of the lighting device.

Lighting device with first and second coupled and inter-movable antennas

A lighting unit comprises a solid state lighting element (). An upper housing () forms a light mixing chamber () over the solid state lighting element () and a loop-shaped antenna () is held by the upper housing (), wherein the upper housing () comprises a reflective inner wall at least where it defines the mixing chamber () and said solid state lighting element () is inside said reflective inner wall. This makes use of the component which defines the mixing chamber () to hold a loop-shaped antenna () in place above the lighting element () and therefore away from the heat generated by the lighting element () and away from any metallic heat sink or heat spreading components ().

Controllable lighting assembly

A heat transfer device for transferring heat to a housing, comprising a heat spreader, at least one heat transfer plate mechanically connected to the heat spreader so as to be resiliently compressible towards the heat spreader when brought into contact with the housing, and at least one heat pipe thermally connected to each heat transfer plate and to the heat spreader. The resilient compressibility of the heat transfer plates makes the heat transfer device flexible, such that it may adapt to a different shape of housing. In contrast to known thermal interfaces, the thermal interface of the heat transfer device of the invention is not mechanically connected to the housing in which it is used, but connected to the heat spreader, and may instead be pressed into contact with the housing, without mechanical fixation.

Luminaire having heat transfer device adaptable to different luminaire housing shapes and method of assembling the luminaire

The invention provides a lighting device () and a luminaire (). The lighting device comprises a light emitter () thermally connected to a heat sink (). The lighting device further comprises a communication circuit () coupled to the heat sink for transmitting and/or receiving a communication signal. A first conductive part () of the heat sink comprises at least a first pole () of a dipole antenna () for transmitting and/or receiving the communication signal via the heat sink. This first pole of the dipole antenna may be induced via a primary radiator () to activate the gap ().
