A tire for a vehicle comprises a tread (), of which the central part of the tread () comprises at least two rubber compounds (), making up at least 90% of its volume. The first compound () is radially on the outside of the second compound () and makes up at least 40% and at most 60% of the volume of the central part. The second rubber compound () has a Shore hardness DS2 at least equal to 5 plus the Shore hardness DS1 of the first compound () and dynamic losses at a temperature of 0° C. and 23° C. that are at least equal to those of the first rubber compound (). The axially outer parts of the tread are made up of a third compound () capable of touching the ground, having a stiffness and a hysteresis that are lower than those of the first compound.

Pneumatic tire with improved tread

A rubber composition based on at least a reinforcing filler, a crosslinking system, a plasticizing system and an elastomer matrix is provided. The elastomer matrix includes at least one modified diene elastomer comprising within its structure at least one alkoxysilane group, which is optionally partially or totally hydrolysed to silanol, bonded to the elastomer by the silicon atom. The alkoxysilane group optionally bears another function bonded to the silicon atom directly or by means of a spacer group. The modified diene elastomer is such that, before modification, the diene elastomer has a polydispersity index of at least 1.1 and at most 1.6, and has a Mooney viscosity ranging from 50 to 80 and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of strictly less than &#x2212;50&#xb0; C., preferably less than or equal to &#x2212;60&#xb0; C., and greater than or equal to &#x2212;110&#xb0; C.
