A method is provided for encoding a digital signal as an encoded signal. The method includes performing a plurality of localized encodings of a digital signal to generate a set of encoded local signals. Localized encodings are performed for a first sample of the digital signal. A plurality of physical quantities is assigned to the first sample. The set of encoded local signals includes an encoded local signal associated with each physical quantity of the plurality of physical quantities. The method further includes analyzing a characteristic associated with an encoded signal to determine a measured value of the characteristic. The encoded signal includes the set of encoded local signals. The method also includes adjusting a first encoding parameter associated with the plurality of localized encodings according to the measured value of the characteristic and a target value of the characteristic. The first encoding parameter is adjusted for a second sample of the digital signal. The second sample is processed after the first sample.

Method and device for dynamically monitoring the encoding of a digital multidimensional signal

A method of encoding an initial digital signal in an encoded signal, where the initial digital signal includes a sequence of samples representing a multidimensional space, and each sample may be assigned at least one physical magnitude. The method may include, for at least some of the current samples, locally encoding the signal in encoded local digital signals, with the encodings being performed in local reference frames each including the current sample considered and two reference samples. The reference samples may be chosen based upon a minimum gradient of the at least one physical magnitude, from among the available samples of the sequence, and the encoded signal may include the encoded local digital signals.

Method and device for encoding a multidimensional digital signal, in particular an image signal, and corresponding method and device for decoding

A method is provided for encoding an initial digital signal as an encoded signal. The initial digital signal includes a sequence of samples representing a multidimensional space. Each sample is assigned at least one physical quantity. The method includes, for some of the current samples, localized encoding of the signal as encoded local digital signals. The encoded signal includes the encoded local digital signals. The method also includes an on-the-fly analysis of a characteristic associated with the encoded signal, and a direct or indirect adjustment at the sample level, of at least one encoding parameter involved in the localized encodings so as to stabilize the value of the characteristic on a target value to within a tolerance.

A demodulation device is provided that includes first and second power control circuits and demodulation circuits. The first power control circuit keeps the amplitude of a modulated input signal constant, and the demodulation circuits applying a demodulation processing to the input signal. The second input signal power control circuit generates a control signal having a signal present state representing detection of the presence of the input signal and a signal disappeared state representing detection of disappearance of the input signal. The demodulation device further includes means for deactivating the demodulation circuits when the control signal changes from the signal present state to the signal disappeared state, and for activating the demodulation circuits when the control signal changes from the signal disappeared state to the signal present state so as to enable a fast restart of the demodulation processing.

Demodulation device for reacquiring a modulated signal if reception is interrupted

Methods and test platforms for developing an application-specific integrated circuit incorporating, on the same chip, a signal processor core, RAM memory and ROM memory intended to receive a management program and processing program, and input-output management peripherals specific to the application. The signal processor, RAM memory and ROM memory correspond respectively to existing separate IC components. The processing program is developed and tested on a test platform including at least these separate IC components together with a core-emulation integrated circuit, which includes the signal processor core in a minimal configuration. An interface program and diagnostic interface logic allows the platform to be controlled from a microcomputer, which can thereby implement automatic chaining of tests.
