An automatic dishwashing composition is provided including a builder; a nonionic surfactant; and a dispersant polymer comprising: (a) >60 to <90 wt %, based on weight of the dispersant polymer, of structural units of formula I wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a —CHgroup; and (b) >10 to <40 wt %, based on weight of the dispersant polymer, of structural units of formula II wherein each Ris independently selected from the group consisting of a Chydroxyalkyl group and a Calkoxy group; and wherein each Ris independently selected from a hydrogen and a methyl group.

Dishwashing formulation with dispersant copolymer

An automatic dishwashing composition is provided including a builder; a phosphonate; a nonionic surfactant; and a dispersant polymer, comprising: (a) 50 to 95 wt %, based on weight of the dispersant polymer, of structural units of a monoethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid monomer; and (b) 5 to 50 wt %, based on weight of the dispersant polymer, of structural units of a sulfate bearing ethylenically unsaturated monomer.

Additive for controlling spotting in automatic dishwashing systems

A surfactant for use in an automatic dishwashing composition is provided, wherein the surfactant is a glycidyl ether-capped ethoxylated alcohol as noted in formula I. Wherein Ris a linear, saturated Calkyl group, Ris a linear or branched saturated Calkyl group, m has an average value of 10 to 50, and n has an average value of &#x3e;1 to 2. Also provided are automatic dishwashing compositions comprising said surfactant.

Dispersant copolymers having high compatibility with surfactants

An automatic dishwashing detergent composition having at least two components. The first component is a polymer containing polymerized residues of at least one C-Ccarboxylic acid monomer and a hydroxy end group. The second component is a biodegradable builder selected from among nitrilotriacetic acid, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, glycine-N,N-diacetic acid, methylglycine-N,N-diacetic acid, 2-hydroxyethyliminodiacetic acid, glutamic acid-N,N-diacetic acid, 3-hydroxy-2,2'-iminodisuccinate, S,S-ethylenediaminedisuccinate aspartic acid-diacetic acid, N,N&#x2032;-ethylenediamine disuccinic acid, iminodisuccinic acid, aspartic acid, aspartic acid-N,N-diacetate, beta-alaninediacetic acid, polyaspartic acid, salts thereof and combinations thereof.

Scale-reducing additive for automatic dishwashing systems

A phosphorus-free automatic dishwashing detergent composition containing a polymer of acrylic acid, maleic acid and methacrylic acid; a carbonate; and a silicate. The composition contains carbonate and silicate in a weight ratio from 4:1 to 1:3, respectively; from 10 to 90 wt % total carbonate and silicate.
