This application relates to compositions comprising one or more CpG oligodeoxynucleotides complexed to nanoparticles comprising a gemini surfactant and optionally a muco-adhesive polymer, which can be used for intrapulmonary delivery to induce immunity in feed animals, and the methods of making and uses thereof.

Methods and compositions for inducing protective immunity

The present application is related to a pharmaceutical composition a biphasic lipid vesicle comprising a lipid bilayer comprising vesicle forming lipids; an oil-in-water emulsion stabilized by one or more surfactants; one or more compounds; and one or more penetration enhancing agents. The one or more penetration enhancing agents include one or more non-ionic surfactants having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) of about 10 or less, alone or combination with one or more penetration enhancing agents selected from one or more of terpenes, alkaloids, salicylate derivatives, and polycationic surfactants and combinations thereof. Lipid vesicle compositions with penetration enhancing agents

A biphasic lipid vesicle composition for treating cervical displasia by intravaginal delivery. The composition includes a suspension of lipid-bilayer vesicles having entrapped therein, an oil-in-water emulsion, human interferon alpha-2b and L-methionine, the composition having an interferon alpha-2b specific activity of between about 1-10 MIU (million international units) per gram composition, and between 0.01 to 0.5 weight percent L-methionine. In the treatment method, the composition is administered at a dose of between about 1-20 MIU interferon alpha-2b, and this dose is administered at least 3 days/week, for a period of at least 4 weeks.
