An adapter for receiving a vehicle attendant seat in a cabin of a vehicle comprises a flat retaining body, a receiving device for a vehicle attendant seat, at least one first pivoting means and at least one first securing means. The at least one first pivoting means is arranged on a pivoting edge of the retaining body and is adapted for forming a hinge with at least one correspondingly formed second pivoting means. The receiving device is arranged on a surface of the at least one retaining body, which surface extends parallel to the plane, and is adapted for mechanically connecting the vehicle attendant seat with the at least one retaining body. Thus in a vehicle cabin a vehicle attendant seat may be accommodated in a very space-saving manner even at locations to which in conventional vehicle operation access is required.

A handling system for handling objects in a vehicle comprises a storage apparatus that is positionable outside a vehicle cabin, an access device that is positionable in a vehicle cabin, and a transport device for transporting objects between the storage apparatus and the access device. The storage apparatus comprises a storage space and a connection station that is connectable to the transport device, wherein the storage apparatus comprises at least one drive device for moving carriers on which objects to be stored are held. The handling system comprises at least one guiding device that with the drive device guides the carriers on at least one circular path within the storage space. The storage space thus comprises a vertical flat shape that results in a significantly smaller reduction in the available cargo volume in a vehicle, while at the same time maximizing the design space available for passenger seats.

A modular cabin segment for a vehicle includes a first lateral segment module accommodating a first toilet arrangement with a toilet compartment, a second lateral segment module, and at least one central module, wherein in each case an outer lateral face of the first segment module and of the second lateral segment module is designed to adapt in each case to an inner wall of a cabin of the vehicle so as to correspond to the aforesaid. At least one of the modules includes a cabin attendant seat that on one side is held on the at least one module so that it can be pivoted on an axis. In this manner very good integration of many different functions in the manner of a construction kit is achieved in order to be able to accommodate a greater number of passenger seats elsewhere within the limited space provided in a cabin.

A vehicle lavatory, in particular an aircraft lavatory, is described. The lavatory includes a cabin space with a centrally located vertical axis around which a washstand and a urinal unit are located. The washstand and urinal unit are arranged to each have an approximately horizontal surface at their top, such that a person using the lavatory has a location to place personal items during use. The horizontal surfaces of the washstand and the urinal are arranged to exist in the same plane and may be a continuous surface that may additionally cross the entirety of the width of the cabin. The urinal is arranged such that a plane defining the opening of the urinal is at an angle relative to a plane defining a front surface of the washstand such that a person using the lavatory only has to turn slightly to access the urinal and the washstand.

Vehicle lavatory

A cabin segment for a vehicle includes two or more parking spaces, arranged side by side and separated from each other by at least one intermediate wall, for accommodating serving trolleys, and furthermore a vehicle attendant seat which on one side is held on one of the at least one intermediate walls so as to be pivotable on an axis. The vehicle attendant seat is pivotable to an in-use position and to an out-of-the-way position. The in-use position and the out-of-the-way position are situated apart by 90&#xb0; or more relative to the pivoting of the vehicle attendant seat. This makes possible particularly efficient use of space without having to forego parking spaces or a vehicle attendant seat.

A toilet arrangement for a vehicle includes a first toilet compartment, an adjacent second toilet compartment and a partition wall situated between the first toilet compartment and the second toilet compartment, wherein the partition wall is movably supported and designed for being transferred into an open position, in which the partition between the first toilet compartment and the second toilet compartment is removed. This makes it possible to convert two relatively small toilet compartments into a larger toilet compartment that is suitable for use by persons with limited mobility.
