A device for adjusting a camshaft of an internal combustion engine includes a lifting profile assembly rotationally fixed on an axially movable camshaft, and has a control groove having a depth that varies along a rotation direction, an actuator to cause axial movement by controlled engaging in the control groove, and an electromagnetically drivable tappet unit that cooperates with the control groove such that, when rotating, a reset or driver effect is exerted on the tappet unit, wherein the tappet unit has at least two independently drivable tappets, the control groove engages a first individual tappet, forms a radially peripheral wall along a peripheral groove side whereby a second individual tappet is positioned outside the control groove during rotation, and a ramp section cooperating with the second individual tappet whereby the second individual tappet is reset or driven when the first individual tappet is reset or driven.

An electromagnetic actuating apparatus with two armature means which are designed to exert an actuating force on two tappet units which are extended in the longitudinal direction along a longitudinal movement axis and are guided such that they can be moved in a parallel manner in a common guide section of a housing which accommodates the armature means, wherein the tappet units each have an engagement end which is designed to interact with an actuating groove in a motor vehicle motor adjustment system and projects from the guide section at least in an engaged state, and the common guide section forms a guide end surface in which guide openings associated with the two tappet units, are open, wherein a connecting path which runs through center axes of the only two guide openings in the guide end surface forms an offset (v) from a surface center point of the guide end surface and/or from a surface center point of a housing end surface of the housing, wherein the surface center point lies on a perpendicular bisector of the connecting path.

A coil carrier for an electromagnetic actuator (), with a winding section () for the accommodation of an energizable winding, with an injection molded plastic body (), with a first yoke disc () designed as an annular disc and affixed on a first axial face of the winding section (), and with an armature guide chamber enclosed by the plastic body () for the accommodation of an axially adjustable armature (), wherein a second yoke disc () is provided on an axial face of the winding section () that is located opposite to the first axial face, characterized in that the first yoke disc () has at least one recess () that is open in the radially inwards direction, and in that the first yoke disc () is affixed to the plastic body () by means of overmolding, such that plastic body material projects radially inwards beyond the recess () and forms a guide () for the armature (), and in that the second yoke disc () is affixed to the plastic body () by means of overmolding.
