A method of operating a dishwashing appliance may include a step of recording an audio signal with a first microphone mounted to the sump. The method may also include a step of analyzing the audio signal recorded with the first microphone. The method may further include a step of determining an access position of the door based on the analyzed audio signal. The method may also include a step of directing the dishwashing appliance based on the determined access position of the door.

Detecting unwanted touch events on a user interface panel of a dishwashing appliance

An appliance, as provided herein, can include a direct current load and a current sensing circuit that can be coupled to the direct current load. The current sensing circuit can be configured to collect electrical data corresponding to the direct current load. The appliance can include one or more processors that can be coupled to the current sensing circuit. The one or more processors can be configured to identify at least one attribute of the direct current load based, at least in part, on the electrical data and activate at least one operation of the direct current load or the appliance based, at least in part, on identification of the at least one attribute of the direct current load.

Direct current load identification system

An automated door assembly for a dishwasher appliance includes a door frame pivotally mounted to the cabinet. An extension arm is mounted to and extends away from the door frame at approximately 90 degrees. A motor is mounted to the cabinet and is coupled to a distal end of the extension arm by a cable. The motor is selectively rotated to wind and unwind the cable to move the door frame between the closed position and the open position. A latch assembly engages a striker mounted on the door frame to initiate the opening and closing process.

Memory device is configured to store instructions that when executed by processor cause the processor to perform operations. Operations include determining an operational state of a first load control device, generating a first control signal based on the operational state of the first load control device, determining the operational state of a first load control device enable circuit; generating a second control signal based on the operational state of the first load control device enable circuit; generating a first load control signal based on the first control signal and second control signal; and operating a second load control device based on the first load control signal.
