A garment comprises at least one fabric portion comprised of an elastic material. The garment further includes a hip portion and a limb portion wherein the at least one fabric portion extends to the limb portion. A compression adjustment arrangement is coupled to the at least one fabric portion. The compression adjustment arrangement includes a plurality of fluid pockets positioned on the at least one fabric portion at the limb portion. A pump is configured to pump fluid into the plurality of fluid pockets in order to stretch the at least one fabric portion. The pump includes a flexible diaphragm positioned on the hip portion and configured to force fluid into the plurality of fluid pockets upon depression.

Garment with compression adjustment arrangement

A garment includes a first panel provided on a limb portion with a first lacing guide coupled to the first panel. The first panel is an elastic fabric panel. The garment further includes a second panel provided on the limb portion with a second lacing guide coupled to the second panel. A cord extends between the first lacing guide and the second lacing guide. A cord adjustment mechanism is coupled to the cord. The cord adjustment mechanism is configured to reduce an effective length of the cord extending between the first lacing guide and the second lacing guide such that the first panel is stretched and the first panel is drawn toward the second panel.

A garment configured to be worn on a human body includes at least one fabric portion provided on a torso portion or a limb portion of the garment. The at least one fabric portion is comprised of an elastic material and is configured to provide a degree of compression to the human body depending on a degree of stretch of the at least one fabric portion. The garment further includes a compression adjustment arrangement coupled to the at least one fabric portion. The compression adjustment arrangement includes a plurality of fluid pockets positioned on an inner side of the at least one fabric portion and a pump configured to pump fluid into the plurality of fluid pockets in order to stretch the at least one fabric portion.

A pad arrangement comprises a layer of fabric with a pad connected to the layer of fabric. The pad includes a plurality of energy absorbing structures. Each of the plurality of energy absorbing structures includes an outer surface connected to the layer of fabric. Each of the outer surfaces is spaced apart from other outer surfaces on the pad. A plurality of buttresses extend between the energy absorbing structures, each of the plurality of buttresses extending downwardly and away from the outer surface of one or more of the energy absorbing structures.

A fastening arrangement comprises a first fastening member connected to a first strap and a second fastening member connected to a second strap. The first fastening member includes a first surface comprising at least one first interlocking member. The second fastening member includes a channel positioned between a second surface and a biasing member. The channel is configured to receive the first fastening member with the first surface facing the second surface. The second surface includes at least one second interlocking member configured to engage the first interlocking member in a manner that blocks the first interlocking member from moving relative to the second interlocking member in at least one direction. The biasing member is configured to urge the first interlocking member into engagement with the second interlocking member when the first fastening member is inserted into the channel of the second fastening member.

A pad arrangement comprises a layer of fabric with a pad connected to the layer of fabric. The pad includes a plurality of energy absorbing structures. Each of the plurality of energy absorbing structures includes an outer surface connected to the layer of fabric. Each of the outer surfaces is spaced apart from other outer surfaces on the pad. A plurality of buttresses extend between the energy absorbing structures. A plurality of cuts extend into the buttresses. The plurality of cuts may be provided as slits in the buttresses, with the slits configured to facilitate flexing of the pad between the plurality of energy absorbing structures.

A garment includes a torso portion and a limb portion. The garment further includes a first panel with a first lacing guide provided on the first panel and a second panel with a second lacing guide provided on the second panel. A cord extends between the first lacing guide and the second lacing guide. A cord adjustment mechanism is coupled to the cord. The cord adjustment mechanism is configured to reduce an effective length of the cord extending between the first lacing guide and the second lacing guide and draw the first panel toward the second panel.

An adjustable compression garment includes a first fabric portion that is moveable relative to a second fabric portion. At least the first fabric portion includes a stretchable material that provides a degree of compression to a human body. A fastening arrangement includes a first fastener device connected to the first fabric portion and a second fastening device connected to the second fabric portion. The fastening device provides an adjustable connection between first fabric portion and the second fabric portion. The fastening device is configured such that the degree of compression provided by the first fabric portion may be increased without disconnecting the first fastener device from the second fastener device.

Garment with adjustable compression

A method of manufacturing a compression garment comprises obtaining a plurality of model measurements at various locations on a model body. Thereafter, a plurality of garment dimensions are calculated for various locations on the garment. Each calculation of a garment dimension is based at least in part on one of the plurality of model measurements and at least in part on a target elongation for the garment. In at least one embodiment, calculations for various garment dimensions are performed by inserting the plurality of model measurements into a pattern equation that includes a model measurement variable and a target elongation variable. After calculating garment dimensions, a plurality of fabric segments are prepared for the garment based on the calculated dimensions. Each of the plurality of fabric sections comprise elastane and are characterized by a modulus of elasticity.
