The present invention relates to a method for producing lithium-nickel-manganese-based transition metal oxide particles, the transition metal oxide particles which are obtained with the method, and the use thereof as electrode material. The inventive lithium phosphates have a very high capacity when used as cathode material in lithium accumulators.
