A fluid delivery device () comprising a housing () having a proximal end, a distal end, and a length therebetween, an activation device () disposed within the housing (), a bottle () at least partially receivable in the proximal end of the housing (), the bottle () containing a fluid medium therein and sealed by a laminate seal element, wherein the laminate seal element is proximate the activation device () and disposed a predetermined distance dimension therefrom, and a foam pad () coupled to a distal end of the housing (), wherein the bottle () is axially movable with respect to the housing () at least the predetermined distance dimension to engage the laminate seal element with the activation device () to dispense the fluid medium from the bottle () through the foam pad. A method of using such a delivery device is provided.

Provided is a method of treating a proliferative disease, condition, or disorder in a subject by administering a combination of an inhibitor of p53 and MDM2 binding and an EGFR inhibitor. Metallopeptide compounds

The invention provides methods for identification and determination of target-specific sites in peptides and proteins, including a method for determining the primary sequence of a secondary structure within a known parent polypeptide that binds to the target of interest. In one embodiment of the invention, a residue or mimetic containing a nitrogen atom and a sulfur atom available for binding to a metal ion is serially substituted for single residues in or inserted between adjacent residues in a known primary sequence of a peptide or protein. The resulting sequence is complexed with a metal ion thereby forming a metallopeptide. The resulting metallopeptides are then used in binding or functional assays related to the target of interest, and the metallopeptide(s) which result in significant or substantially decreased or changed binding or functionality are determined to identify the primary sequence involved in such binding or functionality.

The present invention provides novel human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) peptide mimics that mimic the biological activity of the native GLP-1 peptide and thus are useful for the treatment or prevention of diseases or disorders associated with GLP activity. Further, the present invention provides novel, chemically modified peptides that not only stimulate insulin secretion in type II diabetics, but also produce other beneficial insulinotropic responses. These synthetic peptide GLP-1 mimics exhibit increased stability to proteolytic cleavage making them ideal therapeutic candidates for oral or parenteral administration.
