A method for production of disposable hygienic absorbent articles, the method comprising advancing in a first direction a continuous length of a substantially homogeneous elastic laminate web having a maximum elastic extensibility in the first direction of at least 40% under a peak load F; maintaining said substantially homogeneous elastic laminate web under a tensioning load Fin the first direction during the advancing, the tensioning load Fsatisfying the condition: 0.03 F&#x2264;F&#x2264;0.25 F; attaching individual absorbent cores to the substantially homogeneous elastic laminate web while maintaining said substantially homogeneous elastic laminate web under the tensioning load F; and severing the substantially homogenous elastic laminate web into individual disposable hygienic absorbent articles.

Method for production of disposable absorbent articles

A method for producing pant-type articles having a waist-encircling portion and leg-encircling portions. The method includes forming a chassis structure and at least one elastic panel being formed by providing a first web, which is an elastic web including at least one layer of an elastic material. The first web is stretched at least 70% in at least one direction. The stretched first web is bonded while the first web is held in the stretched state to a second web. The second web includes at least one layer of an elastic or non-elastic material, and the bonded first and second webs form an elastic composite web. The elastic composite is relaxed in the at least one direction by at least 4% of the stretched length of the stretched first web. The chassis structure is assembled from chassis components including the stretched and relaxed composite web.

Method for producing pant-type articles having a chassis structure and pant-type articles produced according to the method

A pant type absorbent article such as a pant diaper, a sanitary pant or incontinence pant, said article having a core region () comprising an absorbent core () and a chassis region () surrounding the core region. The chassis comprises front, back and waist regions (and). The article in at least a part of the chassis region () comprises an outer coversheet () in the form of an elastic web material () constituting the sole component of the chassis () in at least 20% of the total surface area of the article (), said elastic laminate having an opacity of at least 40% and a basis weight of no more than 100 g/m.

Absorbent article comprising an elastic web material

A method for production of disposable hygienic absorbent articles () in which each article has a substantially homogenous elastic laminate web () having a maximum elastic extensibility in a first direction of at least 40%, preferably at least 60%, and most preferably at least 80%, under a peak load F, and an absorbent core () attached to the elastic laminate web. A pant type absorbent article having a core region includes an absorbent core and a chassis region surrounding the core region. The article in at least a part of the chassis region includes a coversheet in the form of an elastic laminate constituting the sole component of the chassis in at least 20% of the total surface area of the article. The elastic laminate has a tensile strength of at least 15 N/25 mm both in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the article and a tensile strength in the transverse direction of the article which is no more than 2.5 times and preferably no more than 2 times higher than the tensile strength in the longitudinal direction of the article. The force required to extend the elastic laminate 10% in the longitudinal direction of the article is no more than 5 N/25 mm.

Absorbent article comprising an elastic laminate material

A method for producing pant-type absorbent articles, each article including a chassis structure having at least one elastic panel and an integrated absorbent core component, the method including a continuous pant-forming process including forming the chassis structure and incorporating the absorbent core component into the chassis structure. The at least one elastic panel is formed by a) separately producing a two-layer laminate having a first non-elastic fibrous nonwoven web and an elastic film, b) activating the two-layer laminate by incremental stretching in at least one activation direction to render the two-layer laminate elastically stretchable, c) stretching the activated two-layer laminate by 10-200% in the activation direction, d) introducing the two-layer laminate) in the pant-forming process, and e) laminating the elastic film of the stretched two-layer laminate to an elastic or nonwoven chassis component. Pant-type absorbent article and a method for producing pant-type absorbent articles

A method for producing an elastically stretchable laminate having at least three layers, the method including the steps of: a) producing a first laminate having a first non-elastic fibrous nonwoven web and an elastic film; b) activating the first laminate by incremental stretching in at least one activation direction to render the first laminate elastically stretchable; c) stretching the activated first laminate to 10-200% in the activation direction; and d) laminating the stretched first laminate to a second non-elastic nonwoven web. An elastically stretchable laminate produced in accordance with the method is also disclosed.

A pant-type absorbent article having an absorbent assembly having an absorbent core and a chassis, wherein the front and back portions are joined to each other along two opposite longitudinal side edges to define a waist-opening and a pair of leg-openings, at least one of the front and back portions has an elastic web material, a crotch portion located between the front portion and the back portion in the longitudinal direction of the article, the front portion having a length in the longitudinal direction, the back portion having a length in the longitudinal direction, and the crotch portion having a length in the longitudinal direction, the absorbent assembly overlapping a distance with both the front and back portions, the article having a longitudinal and a transverse direction, wherein the absorbent assembly overlaps no more than 20% of the surface area of each of the front and back portions.

Pant-type absorbent article

An absorbent article includes an absorbent section having first and second end portions and a central portion. A waist belt is attached to the absorbent section at its first end and has first and second belt portions extending on each side of the first end of the absorbent section for securing to each other around a wearer of the absorbent article. The second end of the absorbent section includes a fastening device for securing the second end of the absorbent section to the waist belt. The waist belt has a visual appearance different from the absorbent section, so as to simulate a belt. This provides the user with intuitive information on how the absorbent article should be applied.

Absorbent article comprising an elastic laminate

An absorbent article of the kind which is worn as a pair of absorbent pants with a waist opening defined by a rear waist edge and a front waist edge, and two leg openings. The absorbent article preferably includes an absorbent body attached to a covering. The covering preferably includes an elastic material arranged within an area which extends at least from the front waist edge to the leg openings. The elastic material is preferably treated. The treated elastic material preferably has no or reduced elasticity within a portion of the covering overlapping the absorbent core.
