Solvent-swollen crosslinked silicone gels containing covalently bonded cyclodextrin groups are prepared by hydrosilylation. The swollen gels are storage stable, compatible with water and polar solvents, and display a significant water break effect.

Hydrophilic cyclodextrin-containing silicone gels

Organopolysiloxane gels containing a hydrocarbon diluent and non-chemically bonded natural oils are prepared by the hydrosilylative gelling of a mixture of an aliphatically unsaturated organopolysiloxane, an Si&#x2014;H-functional organopolysiloxane, and a long chain &#x3b1;-olefin, in the presence of a hydrocarbon diluent and at least one natural oil. Stable creamy gels are produced by shearing the gel product, and contain only a minor amount of crosslinked organopolysiloxane elastomeric component.

Silicone elastomer gels incorporating natural oils

Defoamer compositions contain a) a two-stage hydrosilylation product of one or more MQ or MTstarting materials with a hydrosilylatable composition containing &#x3b1;-methylstyrene, and then with a linear or branched organopolysiloxane bearing at least two hydrosilylatable groups; b) a silicone resin; and c) silica. The defoamers are particularly useful in machine laundering and dishwashing compositions.
