A filtration container () includes a container body () including a porous filter () exhibiting both hydrophilic and oleophobic properties. The container also has a lid () which provides a secondary filter for the container (). The filter is slidable within the container body and is rotatable into a vertical position. The filtration container may be used for testing a fat content of an item placed within the container. A method for testing the fat content of an item is also provided.
